Day of release embargo is pretty much standard across the board now. It's just we don't notice it as much, because it's only normally day of *US* release.

This being a sim-ship makes it more noticeable.

In Tesco tonight for the weekly shop, probably add it to the basket...

I picked up two copies and two sets of ms points at tesco just before I started work around 8am today. Nabbed the last two sets of ms points on display which were £17.49 each and that made each COD £25. My mate and myself needed the points anyway so it was basically £25 for the game.

I found that to be the best deal. No best buy nearby and factor in the purchasing of points anyway and it's a win win situation.

I went to best buy at 5.30 last night, loads of copies still around when i got there for ?29.99 on PS3 and 360 , I was quite suprised.

The first map pack has been announced containing:

-Hong Kong based map taken from the SP
-Arctic Circle based map taken from the SP
-New setting map based on the Berlin Wall
-New setting map based on an Ice Hockey Stadium
-A new Zombie map

Usual rough £12 price tag and out 01 Feb 2011 on XBL, other formats to follow which means 01 March 2011. Good to see Activision finally move the DLC to a better timeframe rather than wait 6-7 months for the first pack

Not sure if this is genuine or not and if it is it's really going to upset some people.

I'm not personally interested in the online side and the game has sat on my shelf unplayed since launch due to being so bloody awfull so I would absolutely love them to do this over here. Come on Activision, I dare you!

Well I have nothing else to offer and I too follow forums and have many friends who play and enjoy the game for all of its features. As an avid gamer, I would also disagree with any legalities involving a single aspect of a game as online experience may change at any time. The publishers have the right to shut down the servers for their game at any time as well which based on the number of reported posts from users may be a viable solution over the free PSN.

In any event, if you would like to send your game disc into us, we can either:
a) Exchange for a sealed (unopened) copy of the game that you can take back to the retailer
b) Swap for another platform
c) Exchange for another Activision title of equal or lesser value.

These are the options that we are able to offer to you as a one time courtesy.
