of course this game will cause controversity as in the majority of other games out there eg No Russians mission. his apparent crimes? its not the full story there from the american commentator but thats what it was like back in good'ol nam.

this game will relight the past for recent nam veterns and those of the conflict alight. regardless about his failed restaurant in the states.

from your western perspective it looks barbaric being that you have now actually witnessed a scene of what happened during the nam years. but i proberbly bet that controversial issues like this will arise in the game because after all this is the cold war arc.

    ------
so you saw the video, big deal we have all seen much worse and then seeing it implemented in a game.

I happen to think you are a prick for posting that.

The vid was too shocking for you? that clip was just part of south vietnam history and the mods they are intelligible to know that unlike you who refers to moi as a prick is too blinded by reality and truth.

as for me i would love to see cod7 to be more darker in story depth with a sense that this was a proxy war just like afghan today.

It was a bit too shocking for me.

If I was watching a war documentary on TV, I might expect to see something like that, but not on a videogame forum.

I have to agree, that video clip has no place on a gaming forum

That kind of nonchalance to taking another human life has no place anywhere.

So you can't swear on here as younger people visit this site, but posting a vid of someone getting executed is ok?

That's entirely not the point - I'm sure for any country that has had a war theres enough footage of executions and massacres. Difference is I wouldn't post a video of it on a video games forum. Nothing to do with being blinded by anything, apart from your complete ignorance.

You didn't even stick a 'if executions make you feel queasy don't watch this' header on the message. I wouldn't have wanted anyone of a young age to see that - and not everyone can stomach video's of that nature. If you want to see it you can find it on the internet - you don't have to thrust it in peoples faces.

So my opinion of you hasn't changed at all.

As far as the game is concerned I'm quietly looking forward to thsi already. Treyarch showed a massive amount of improvement and promise with COD5 and using COD6 as the base (as they typically do) I'm hopeful that the game design will be strong on this one.

The latest rumours to crop up:

It is entitled Call of Duty: Black Ops.

It takes place over several time periods, WW2, Vietnam and modern day.

Missions take place in Vietnam, Cuba, South America and London. London specifically being the Iranian Embassy siege.

The zombie mode makes a return.

Info leaked from a source at Activision apparently,

To be honest I just want Call of duty to disappear for a few years, but typical Activision they will run the franchise into the ground with sequels and spin off's !

Wonder if they'll ever have the balls to do one of the 'controversial' bits in America. The No Russian thing in Russia and now a recreation of the Iranian embassy siege (in which two civilian hostages were killed)? I very much doubt the Vietnam section will feature any hint of the atrocities committed by the US.

GamesRadar+ takes you closer to the games, movies and TV you love.

If true it backs up the growing feeling I've had that Treyarch is quickly becoming a better COD custodian than IW

Treyarch also developed Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty 3. And, most recently, we've added Sledgehammer in the Bay Area. We haven’t yet announced the content of their game, but it's going to be an innovative take that will further broaden the audience for Call of Duty.
                                You know what that means?
