Well I always class my penis as a weapon of mass destruction, so I can't wait for this comedy non-existent patch.
      It always made Uno dangerous.

I apologise if this has been posted elsewhere but I couldn't find it.

This month's edition of Famitsu is out and this was one of the games featured and it didn't score that badly at 30 (7/8/7/8). Only been able to find a few translated comments though.

I wish there was some more excitement to it.

The gameplay builds upon the previous release, and while it hasn't evolved much, the vast environment and your superhuman jumping skills make things seem unique. The ability upgrades have pretty dramatic effects, and it's easy to get addicted to hunting for orbs. There aren't many mission types, and they get old pretty quickly.

Are we talking Iraqi weapon of mass destruction here?

Not really sure about this one, the first one didnt really click with me, whats different in this one? Are there zombies or something? (I have had a complete media blackout for this and the only trailer I have seen for this was the teaser trailer that MS showed at E3)

There are a few reviews going up now in the usual places. It seems to be OK even if it's not great in the way that the first was. Looking forward to having a proper play though.

            EDIT:
I've read and watched a few of them now and they seem to be fairly consistent in their views on the game.

I was talking to one of the devs on here after he PMd me due to reading my post about the demo. My main concern at the time was that the original game, for whatever reason meant a lot to some people and the second one seemed to lose that "magic" ingredient that is just so hard to quantify.

I'm still going to buy it and I'm still looking forward to playing it, I'm sure it'll still be enjoyable even if it's not going to be something that I'm still raving about years down the line.

I've been really looking forward to this but I'm trying to rein my expectations in a bit now. The first one really came out of nowhere and there's no way the sequel can match that, unfortunately. It's a shame how this happens with games. I went through a similar thing with No More Heroes 2 and Galaxy 2 this year as well.

Saying that, I have avoided almost everything that's been shown, so I'm in the best position to be surprised and impressed right now. Guess we'll see.

There is no way I will pay full price for a 0.5 game. (In other words I do not recognise this as a full sequel).

I really loved the first one too.

Some more impressions from Cinema Blend's review:

The campaign ends up feeling like an optional side quest that you might plow through for Achievements' sake.
Another way that Crackdown 2 doesn't measure up to fellow open-world games is the platforming. Since Crackdown's release in 2007, the genre has seen games like inFamous and Assassin's Creed 2 that make climbing extremely smooth. Crackdown 2's platforming hasn't been
improved much from its predecessor, though, and now feels out of date. It's hard to tell what you can and can't hold onto when look at a building and trying to plot your route. Some windowsills can be grabbed while some can't. There are also some ledges that you won't be able to reach if your Agility isn't high enough, and often you won't encounter said ledges until you're already halfway up the building. To add to the frustration, some buildings can only be scaled on one side - again,
something you don't find out until you're halfway up. I can understand why the devs would want climbing to be hard in some situations - climbing the Agency Tower is once again an Achievement - but most of the time, players are just trying to traverse the city as quickly and painlessly as possible. Climbing just needlessly slows the game down.
You can play through solo but the later stages of the game feel like they're tuned for co-op so why be anti-social? The presence of other players also makes the rooftop and road races a bit less tedious. To bribe you into playing with a friend, Ruffian has scattered a bunch of ability orbs throughout the city that can only be picked up if you've got another player around.
Crackdown 2 is very faithful to its predecessor and die-hard fans of that game will undoubtedly be pleased. However, what about the rest of us? The folks who thought Crackdown was a good game but one with plenty of room for improvement? The folks who have played numerous, better sandbox action games in the past three years and hoped Crackdown
2 would draw upon their strengths? Crackdown 2 is an improvement over the original but aspirations should've been higher.
                  3.5/5

When a series switches developers, you expect big changes. However, Crackdown 2 studio Ruffian Games stuck closely to the blueprint laid out by Realtime Worlds in the first game. Everything you liked about the first game returns in the second. There's not much beyond that, unfortunately.

Can't say I feel Crackdown's platforming is outdated. Feels pretty good to me, but then I thought Infamous' climbing was a bit twitchy in comparison to it. The Saboteur did good climbing in terms of it showed you which ledges you could jump to (but then I think The Saboteur is shamefully overlooked in general so a bit biased)

The Toy Box updated for Crackdown 2 is an update in two parts, one free, one paid. The free update consists primarily of the Keys to the City cheat mode, which gives players access to God Mode, Infinite Ammo, Fly Cam, weapon and gadget spawning, and skill maxing, making the city the ultimate playground for players who've already explored everything the retail release had to offer.
Along with Keys to the City, players downloading the free update will also score a Thruster ability for upgrading all of their agent stats to level six, and a new multiplayer mode called Vehicle Tag, where up to eight agents can compete in six arenas scattered across the city.
The other half of the update will run players 560 Microsoft points, or $7.00. It includes two new vehicles, a mini-tank and a four-person Squad Chopper; five new toys, including the gravity warping Mass Driver and Portable Launch Pads; two avatar awards,; and eight agent suit colors to reflect the status of the Agency at the end of the game. All of that, plus 10 new achievements totaling 250 Gamerscore points.

                      Still no release date
I'll probably get the paid for DLC without question but the thing I'm most interested in is keys to the city and this 'thruster' ability?

Hopefully it's a thruster for the lame wing suit

I love the wing suit! but a thruster would make it even more awesome. Or/and if it increases your top running speed like in keys to the city on CD1 where if you put on super speed and ran long enough without hitting into anything you're burst into an incredibly fast sprint.

Maybe for the lame shoulder barge upgrade that feels like it should get faster but doesn't?

I love the wing suit too, just would of been better if you didn't need to be so high up to make it work properly

560 is cheaper than I expected.
