there's already a console mmo that works and it call ffxi, 6 years and still going. i hope they keep the 1 character all jobs element, i hate that rerolling **** found in every other mmo.

on another note my 8800gts packed in just , now updating 360 ffxi last big patch.

A true FFXI sequel - count me in, I'm still a regular player, usually in a duo with my brother.

Lets hope it's a timed exclusive only, since the PC FFXI crowd is, well, the majority of the western playerbase.

My brother is a major FFXI nut and follows all the news, and he said the exclusivity only applies to consoles too. I'm praying that's true, because then I can play it (I have a PS3, but I'll be in Japan when FFXIV comes out).

I actually can't believe they again used a numbered Final fantasy numbered name again.

Not that it bothers me particularly (I've been going on XI for close to 6 years now) but the number of people who seemed really bothered about XI led me to believe that they wouldn't do it again.

The only thing that bothers me is that I won't finish it. It'd be nice to say you've completed every numbered FF game and barring II and XI, I have. And now XIV!

Yeah, why would they want to emulate the most successful MMORPG there's ever been... I hope they copy the good stuff, whatever the good stuff is.

There are way too many WoW clones already, dont need another.

FFXI is such a deeper game, it would be a shame if they made FFXIV worse just to please WoW fans.

Playstation online has come a long way since the Ps2 XI debut so I can see this being massively more successful on console this time.

It'll be interesting to see how this turns out on the PS3.

I know there are already some MMOs on the way to the PS3 but this could be a little more of a traditional one if FFXI is anything to go by.

Its about £7 I think per month.

Thanks. I'd happily pay £10 or so if it turned out OK, I'm really looking for a decent PS3 MMO to get into.
