I will admit i was also an early adopter of the game along with the limited edition figure which still sits in the box, but i used the forum subscribers funds to pay for it* so it wasnt that bad anyways it was indeed plagued with bugs galore....... jus check the first play thread to find out for yourself..........

But as good or bad as the game is, i havent found a game that has allowed me to free run in such a fun manner since free running became cliche in video games........ its so satisfying also to climb your way up to the top of a building and Swan dive to the bottom! It never gets old for me

      * won it in the competition before anyone has a hissy fit

I'd say it is fun for 30 minutes to an hour - if thats worth £10 then go for it!

I played it on the 360 from start to finish and really enjoyed it. I did get a bit frustrated at times with repeating the same sort of objectives in each city, but I found the gameplay and atmosphere interesting enough to stick with it.

Maybe not as great as it could have been, but it was certainly above average as far as I'm concerned.

assassin creed is lovely to look at and wonder round some really beautiful areas of the holy land but as a game it is just is awful. the game is a mess the combat is laughable it claims it be a stealth game but no assassination target can actually be taken out stealthy it really is just piss poor.

So don't waste 10 pound on this mess

Yeah, they can. It's possible to kill all but two of the targets without them knowing it's coming. The guards will always notice afterwards, so you can't just walk away calmly (except for one in Acre, if you set it up right), but then: you've just killed a high profile public figure. The guards are obviously going to notice. I can see what Ubisoft were going for with that (the chase from the scene, escaping while the city's on high alert, etc), but I can also see why a lot of people don't like it. At least there's a sequel coming.

that jumpy stab thing is worth two pounds alone i spent ages jumping of roofs onto guards giving them a quick stick with the knife then zooming away.

Its fun to run along the roofs too and work out the best way to take out targets. I liked climbing that first tower to get a nice view the first time, not sure why they built all the towers the same though.

but in the end more interesting things came along and i left this with a measly four hours playtime.

the way he moves through crowds never felt the same after this vid lol

The problem is / was Ubi's presentation during the trailers that preceded release - they all showed the guards completely mystified following the assassination. No wonder gamers expected a game in which pure stealth would be possible!!

I also bought it for 9.50 on ebay including postage, playing through something else first though so it will be a while before I try it.

Framerate is shocking on this. The actual games not bad I guess, but I just can't be bothered to do any of the side quests.
