What's the best bomberman game ever?

Don't listen to what anyone else says. There are only two great versions:

* Bomberman 93, PC Engine
* Saturn Bomberman (10-player hi-res battle with two SBom multitaps FTW!)

I would almost second this, but I'd choose the first Bomberman or maybe '94 over '93 by a nose (ie. Saturn Bomberman and any of the PC Engine ones, basically).

Beats out Live/Ultra, the DS versions, the DC version, the SNES versions, and the N-Gage version by some way.

I think the first PC Engine one is my all time favourite, given the purity of multiplayer mode there.

I've never played multiplayer Bomberman 2 on the Famicom though, which I think was the first to support battle. Got the GBA re-release of it mind, seems bit ****ty by comparison.

... and what a disaster the recent Uniqlo t-shirt was, using the Famicom sprite rather than the PC Engine sprite. Despite the tag praising PC Engine battle mode in particular, duh!

Saturn bomberman hands down, also quite like Bomberman '94 on the PCE.

Have to agree with Gordon and Paul. PC Engine Bummerman 93/94 & the Saturn version trump all although Mega Bomberman (MD) and Super Bomberman 1+2 are worthy runner-ups.

My favourite for battles would be SFC 1 and 2.
3 made the big mistake of adding those stupid dinosaurs and not giving an option to turn them off, resulting in having to explain things to people instead of just blowing each other up.
I do like the 1 player musics in 3 though.
