I'm guessing the emulation just can't cope - it still looks amazing.

Little Big Adventure 3 The first two were outstanding and thinking about it i may go back and whip through them again

          Freedom Fighters 2
Loved this game when it was released. The sqaud control was almost peerless and it just oozed atmosphere.

The Last Ninja (System 3) HD Remake
I loved all 3 of these games back in the day. Mega tough if i remember especially the isometric jumping, but brilliant none the less.

          Soul Blazer 2
Ace. As good as Zedla: Link to the Past

          Actraiser 3
First was amazing, the second lost the plot a bit with the omission of RPG but was still a good game.

          Chrono Trigger/Cross Nuff said

Alien8, Knightlore, Knightshade Were all f*cking ace in their day and it would be great to see their transition to the current gen.

Bio-forge 2 I really enjoyed this game and would have loved to have seen a follow up as i thought it was very underrated.

Planescape Torment 2 Probably the best PC adventure game i have played.

Fallout 3 DLC (PS3) or Fallout 4 Whichever is quickest as i'm sick of waiting.

I'd like to see the plane game from Wii Sports Resort expanded out into a full Pilotwings sequel.

They could even call it PilotWiings

I'd actually forgotten about Chrono Cross. That was a very good game actually. Was it PS1?? A follow on anyway

A new Sly Raccon or Klonoa wouldn't go amiss.

This. Directly on the money. Come to think of it, I need to buy the first one again. It was a truely fantastic game that, you're right, had amazing squad control. Genius.

SHINING FORCE IV - a proper Shining Force and a true sequel to Shining Force 3

GUARDIAN HEROES 2 - still 2d but state of the art 2d graphics in the Guardian Heroes style. Also like the first game they should give the player a choice of routes through the game only this time make even more routes and an even bigger longer adventure with lots of story parts. Another idea would be to not only collect EXP to add to your stats at the end of each level but to be able to collect money that gets dropped by enemies or bosses that you can spend on weapons/armour at shop intervals. Also id like the sequel to have full voice acting for all the characters and for there to be just as many characters to unlock for battle mode as there was in the first game. You could go online and either do a 4 player co-op story mode or an 8 player battle. Another great idea would be the choice of either playing through as one of the main good characters or playing through as one of the bad guys and seeing the story from there point of view.

PANZER DRAGOON SAGA 2 - another Panzer Dragoon in the same style as Saga from the same guys on current gen technology would be a dream come true. Unfortunately it will be a dream that will never come true.

BURNING RANGERS 2 - if they got the exact same team that did the original then the current gen machines would be powerful enough to do a sequel justice. Also id like the sequel to be much longer with bigger & more levels and an online co-op mode and like TEAM ANDROMEDA mentioned a 4 player co-op mode online with voice comms between teams in huge buildings like powerstations & hospitals or schools or high rise buildings would be great.

EXHUMED 2 - this could be incredible on current gen hardware. Imagine the game with incredible level design like a Metroid Prime only set in Egypt in temples & pyramids and amongst valleys & canyons. It could be kind of like the original Tomb Raider in terms of level design and atmosphere only in a fps perspective like the first Exhumed and Metroid Prime was.

SONIC ADVENTURE 3 - a full on sequel to Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 by the same guys who did the 1st one and not like the garbage or very average to put it nicely Sonic games that are getting churned out today.

POWERSTONE 3 - 4 player online carnage amongst levels that are interactive nuff said.

SKIES OF ARCADIA 2 - If done by the same team on a current gen like the XBOX 360 or PS3 and if the team didnt cut any corners in making it then this could be amazing. The first game is a masterpiece and one that so many missed out on. when i saw the new extended trailer to the movie AVATAR and i saw the floating islands it reminded me so much of Skies.

SHENMUE 3 - i honestly think if they got rid of the wooden controls and had RYO moving very fluidly via the analogue stick and had the fight system re invented where you could move fluidly like the smooth movements on FIFA 10 or even Tomb Raider Anniversary coupled with a huge and i mean massive gameworld this could be one of the best games ever. I know Yu Suzuki has unofficially retired and no one would ever give him the financial package he had for Shenmue 1/2 but if it did happen i believe it could be something special.

PHANTASY STAR V - unfortunately i never had the chance to play 1,2 or 3 but i have IV and even though iv only played 30 mins of it i already am enjoying it and have read everywhere that it is one of the finest RPG'S of its generation. Phantasy Star Online was great but id want a true sequel in PS V made in the same style as PS IV.

DAYTONA USA 3 - i so want to hear do do doooo do do do doooooo do do doooooooo.. DAAAAYYYTOOOONAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH again only on the XBOX 360 or PS3. Daytona 1 & 2 were and still are two of the greatest arcade racing games ever and if they made a 3rd on current gen technology where the courses had the amazing scenery & locations that made 1 & 2 special it would be great. But adding a 40 player online mode would surely give fans of the series and racing games in general something to really go nuts over.

Sam: You'll probably like Nostalgia which is an airship focused RPG out now (in the US) for the DS.

Daytona is getting a HD remake too.

Shining force... the new DS ones look pretty interesting.

Lol yes Martin as you know i loved Sega. Well the only reason they are all Sega related is that all other games that were great by other companies have had sequels to them whereas Sega since going bust and dropping out of the console business have never really had the budgets to make huge blockbuster games or sequels since.

Agreed, easily one of the most underated RPG series ever, you never seem to see them mentioned in the same breath as Final Fantasy, Dragons Quest etc, probably because most of the RPG gamers at the time were all over on the SNES.

The original was probably the first console RPG to have a sci-fi setting when almost everything else had a medieval vibe to them, and the plots to all 3 games are pretty dark in places, easily the most mature RPG's over the 8-16-bit period. They also did away with the usual "chosen hero with a magical sword who must save the world from evil and revive the dying mana tree" plot cliché which most RPG's seemed to suffer from.

Phantasy Star 4 to me is the greatest 16-bit rpg around and still stands up well even today, it ties up all the plots from the other 3 games as well so it's pure fan service. I'd love too see what they could do with a next gen part 5, they did have one planned during the Saturn era but it obviously never happened , just a shame these days Sega seem more intent on churning out PSO games instead, I like them but they don't compare to the single player experiences of the 8-16-bit games.

It's worth playing Phantasy Star 2 as well, almost as good as 4 and the ending is seriously good. Phantasy Star 3 isn't as great as it was quickly put out after 2 and was done by a different team, think by the guys who worked on Golden Axe, it's still decent though and has 4 different endings as well as a few other interesting features which were new for an RPG at the time, it just doesn't meet the high standards that 2 & 4 set.

I'd say the first Phantasy Star is worth playing as well if you don't mind playing something that might be considered a little bit archaic by todays standards, every thing from the plot, characters, graphics and setting really did put every other 8-bit console rpg to shame. I'm replaying it again at the minute but finally with the FM sound in the Japanese version which is fantastic, will probably start on 2 again after this and work my way back through them as it's been a while since I last played them.
