Christ almighty hush your mouth. Mock the godlike Hideki Naganuma at your peril.

Unless you mean Rush Adventure, in which case fine, we'll let you off.

Nice trailer, still very much looking forward to this, but didn't realise it was down for a late 2010 release. I'm sure someone told me the official xbox mag would have a demo of this next month, so was hoping it wasn't too long off.

Whilst it looks nice, didn't the Sonic gameplay get a bit boring about 10 years ago?

No. There are not enough games with instant pick up and play gratification these days.

Pick up and play gratification is great, but if it's followed by "ten minutes of this and I'm already bored" syndrome, it's fruitless.

Enjoyed that trailer. Excellent sound effects in place.

I loved his stuff from the Jet Set Radio games but the songs in Sonic Rush didn't work for me at all. Maybe it was the crappy DS speakers causing the issue. Either way I want 16-bit music!!

The original Sonic Rush soundtrack is supurb. Can't see how anyone could not love it.

I thought the Rush soundtrack was great too, but in the context of a Sonic game, I'd certainly prefer something that sounds quite close to the 16-bit games, but maybe without the restrictions of the audio capabilities of the hardware holding it back.

I completely agree. We've always wanted a true sequel to teh mega drive games and now that its coming I feel completely bored by the prospect. I was always a Sonic fan as a kid, buying Sega consoles instead of Nintendo. Somehow Mario games have become classics to me but the sonic gameplay just feels tiresome now.

A good platformer never gets old.

New Super Mario Bros is using core gameplay mechanics that haven't changed significantly over a game released 20 years ago (aside from the multiplayer)

This should get a regular release with a nice limited edition with a soundtrack and letter of apology from SEGA for all the crappy Sonic games released in past years.

From the positivity based on that trailer, I almost expected them to have fixed Sonic and made him work like classic Sonic. No such luck. It's still Sonic Rush, complete with homing attacks, with an older fashioned background look.

I suspect that apology letter would be a little premature if released with this.

See, I didn't post any impressions with the trailer because I didn't want people to yell at me for going 'meh'
