But it is rare. This BBC article should give you some company, even if the one of the main stalwarts against the Beatles are arch-nobber Robert 'I used to date Sade' Elms.

Don't get me wrong, I own it and think it's great - but 9?! That seems generous.
I'd give it an Edge 8.
You might be.. personally I would have given it a 10. The only complaint I have with it is the silly ragdoll physics, and that's a very minor complaint.

From what I have played of the game (demo and a little bit of the full game) I would say 5/10 is pretty much spot on, unless the game gets mind blowingly amazing later on of course.
Not really mate, I stand by my original comment. I find it hard to imagine anyone who truly loves videogames wouldn't enjoy it for what it is. It's not trying to say anything smart, it's just balls to the wall fun and I adored my short time with it!

Fair enough. I will probably pick it up when it is around £15, which probably means around November/December time. I can certainly see why someone would rate it 5/10 though, it is a pretty average game and there is nothing truly remarkable about it.

I would say it's "style" is kinda remarkable? It's like playing a tarantino movie, and I've not played a game that did anything like that. I adored the blood red moments as well.

I dunno, maybe I was desperate for a single player game but I just loved it!

Long sequences of people babbling on about mundane things and close-up shots of feet then?

Sounds like Metal Gear Solid 4. With feet.

Doesn't feel right that people obsess over world tendency; spirit form is more powerful than physical with no advantage beyond co-op to going back; some bosses are far better designed than others; enemy placement does detract from the atmosphere over time; technically it's not that great, shoddy animation, low-res textures, terrible music... they're nitpicks, but enough to knock a point off for me. Definitely an Edge 9, though, and I wouldn't argue against a 10 too hard. It is unquestionably one of the games of the year, warts and all. The risk-and-reward aspects to the gameplay mechanics alone (can't die, no time limit, no pressure, but it demands care and attention to detail to do well) manage to make Fable II look like the tired, vapid, over-rated piece of candyfloss it is.

WET is a very poor mans Stranglehold and even that wasn't a brilliant game. Stranglehold had much better controls, movement and most importantly the aiming system was much smoother.

Personally I thought Strangehold was dog-awful, Wet does it so much better imho.

I thought some of the bullet time enviro-kills were awesome, what does this "Wet Pussy" have that makes it stand out?

Well, IMO Edge's scores are created by a random number generator each month. That said, I'd probably agree with the score from the perspective of someone who likes the genre. Like Darwock though, this is a 10/10 game for me, even with the insane (in a bad way!) physics.

How anyone can "like" a game which rapes your ass time after time in the ****ing tutorial section alone is beyond me. Ah well, horses for courses I guess. I just play video games because I find them fun, there's nothing fun about having to replay a section 50 gazillion times because you don't have superman-like reaction time.

it totally deserves the 9 it got, people have it way to easy with 99% of games that are out these days.
