Oh I know, I mean I'm going to pass on the game totally until it's cheap. If anything seeing this awesome looking fan edition made me think 'Man, I need to get back to that game at some point..'. I will do too!

not to sure what to get really i must say....want the xbox version but my machine is japanese...could get the usa version but not sure if can actually get the dlc character with that

ps3 version well i have a pal ps3 so could get the usa version again but would i still have the same problem with dlc ?

I don't think 360 DLC is region specific, I've got the asian Lost Odyssey and I've got the free DLC from the a Japanese live account and the paid for DLC from my UK account.

The PS3 DLC on the other hand is region specific, you'd need to make a US account and download the US DLC for it to work with the US version of the game.

New characters unveiled for the next arcade installment.
Mu, Makoto and Valkenheim.
And bonus Platinum footage at the end. Can't really see her battling the Black Beast with a giant smiling leon face on a stick.

Siliconera has a bunch of screenshots of Platinum and the new arcade version tha will hit Japan in December. I guess the DLC for the console versions won't be too far off, maybe the X360 users will see Valks and her at the same time.

Zen United released a new official date for the EU version, which is currently scheduled for the 3rd of December (this year, I hope).
The press release speaks of 7 new characters (Hazama, Tsubaki, Mu, Makoto, Valks, Platinum and...Lambda?) but no hard news if all characters will be included on the disk or will be available as a DLC.
IIRC Zen's original plan called for Makoto to be available as DLC but free of charge.

They even cooked up a trailer, hopefully there will be no more delays.

Wow, that's really unexpected! I had a feeling we'd see Relius in the next game - there's no more space on the character select screen in this one!

Another character might be my only chance of nailing the 100 challenges trophy. I have all but given up at the moment, too many impossible dash cancels in Litchi's combos broke my resolve a few weeks ago.
