How else would you play it on both consoles if there wasn't both versions of the game in the box? ?60 would be cheaper than buying two separate games at ?80, so I don't see how you think it's more.

Do you actually have a Vita? Have you actually played a PSP game on one?

Surely the Vita's screen is smaller than the smallest TV, on which anybody has played a PS1 game too?

Of course they would have to charge more, you think making a game for 2 formats costs the same as 1?

I think the argument is that they're already making the game for 2 formats as they'd be selling them separately too, say ?30 for the vita version, or ?40 for the ps3 version (including the vita one). I agree they wouldn't do it for no cost though.

personally i couldnt care less about getting ps1 games on it, unfortunately its just an easy target for people to moan about. its an easy "i would buy it but..." type thing to lie about on the internet. i suspect when it happens nobody will care anymore.

anyway, i still love my vita. theres an awful lot of things coming that i want that dont all have firm release dates yet, but by the end of this year i could/should have gravity rush, little kings story, persona 4,ragnarok odyssey (now confirmed for an english version), dj max, hatsune miku, mgs2/3, streetfighter x tekken. maybe orgarythm, monkeyball, possibly ZOE 1/2?

we know pso 2 and dragons crown are coming next year now. theres some big press conference for that soul sacrifice thing this week, so obviously sony are thinking its a big deal. and E3 will surely get more announcements next month.
theres far too much doom and gloom around this thing. to my taste, it looks awesome.

What I meant was that there would be a price reduction if you bought the double pack over buying the two games separately. So for instance if a PS3 game is ?40, and a Vita game is ?35, you'd get the double pack for ?60, saving ?15. Something like that anyway. It'd be like what has already happened with MotorStorm RC, but with a physical copy.

Has Vita happened now? Hope there's a Vita 2. Defo needs more games next time around.

I do have a Vita yes, I can provide photographic proof if you desire, or failing that I have people from this very forum added to my friends list who can confirm. I wouldn't pay ?60 AND a PSN+ subscription just so that I could play a game on both formats, it's too much. Not saying there shouldn't be an additional cost involved however.

Secondly, while the Vita's screen is smaller than a TV, it's still larger than a Go's. Having tried both Assassin's Creed and Sid Meier's Pirates on both formats, MY opinion is that they look best on the Go (yes I've applied the special filter and colour system, neither seem to make much difference). I might be playing the wrong games to form an opinion, but one would think the assassin's creed game would be a suitable enough test.

Try Persona 3 Portable on it

I would if I owned it. Not paying stupid money for a PSP game, purely for the benefit of discovering if a game does indeed look better on a Vita as I have no interest in the series.

?22 quid Sony/Atlus/Ghostlight/Whoever is responsible, really?

Edit: ?24 quid, I do apologise....

So then PS1 games would in theory look better than on a TV.

As far as PSP games go, I've only got Final Fantasy 1, 2, and 4, Gran Turismo, LittleBigPlanet and both of the Metal Slug titles. I can't fault any of them TBH. Infact I prefer playing them on Vita due to the larger screen and the extra stick. Horses for courses I guess.

The extra stick would be a nice selling point, but all software needs to support it properly. I'd have absolutely loved it to work the camera for AC. Alas it was not to be

From what I gather, Gran Turismo and Resistance: Retribution benefit the most from the extra stick. It's really dependent on if a game has fully customisable controls.

Gran Turismo looks better to me on PSP go. I think the smaller screen with native resolution helps. It looks a bit dark on Vita to me. Tomb Raider Anniversary on the other hand looks better on Vita. The smoothing effect seems to work better on that title.

So what do we expect to see at E3? My money is on God Of War and/or a Killzone title. I hope Vita has a good E3
