They give the main console franchise to a European team, then bring a watered down version (which sounds more like a demo), running at at half the frame rate to a shiny new high spec handheld. Not importing now, hopefully the UK release will sort out the retail version

The more I think about it the more I'm torn about whether to keep my NCSX preorder or not. I just don't know.
The thought of playing new Uncharted & Minna no Golf before Xmas fills me with a kiddy, childlike excitement but the whole Ridge Racer debacle, coupled with the lack of info about PSN accounts makes me wonder if I should wait until February.
Gah!! I hate indecision!!

I was going to say three tracks and five cars is hilarious but I'm perfectly fine with Daytona and Sega Rally doing a similar thing(heck, Daytona has one car. And a horse.) so as long as the tracks are fun to play then I don't see a problem.
For me, I've never played Ridge religiously with the idea of shaving ms off my lap time and didn't love any of the tracks themselves in the way I love SR's Desert course, say. If I actually played Ridge more, maybe I'd find particular tracks I just loved to race around.
@ Shakey: Internet seems to think the RR games on PSP were 60fps but I never felt that when playing RR1 and thought it was 30fps.

The PSP games were both 60fps.
Clearly this game is being massively rushed to hit launch (apparently, development started in April this year) and it's really sad to hear it's getting such a botched release.
It's worse because Ridge Racers at the launch of the PSP was a damn near perfect launch title. A graphical showcase for the system (far beyond anything a handheld had done prior to that) but with a ton of content that kept me going for weeks.
The single player mode for this Vita game can't be anywhere near as in depth with only 3 courses at launch.Last edited by C'; 24-11-2011, 11:09.

no, it is hilarious....in a very unfunny way
Any ridge fan will have played these tracks an awful lot already, knowing every drift point, turn and nuiance. Hell, they arent even RR7's best tracks - RR games now adays are all about the career mode; the beauty comes in seeing new tracks, cars and music - with an inital 3 tracks that isnt possible. With supported DLC it could be amazing though - I'll not pass full judgement until I play it, but its not looking great tbh.
