Ghost Recon and Assassins Creed 3 coming to Vita it seems: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...3-vita-spotted
To me though, this only higlights the problems in Sonys approach; Unless these are very different to their console counterparts, I have no desire to play them on a handheld. Launching the same game on both a handheld and a home console will only emphasize how much better the game plays on the bigger machine. Do I want to play AC3 at home, from the couch, on the big HD screen with dimmed lights, or do I want to play it on a 5-inch screen, with fewer buttons and weaker graphics?

It's difficult though, because the inverse approach irks me greatly. It drives me mad how handheld games are designed to be played in bite-sized chunks, being either mission-based or episodic. In these days of handhelds with sleep modes, there is no need to provide a watered down approach on a handheld. The potential to move away from this is why I have high hopes for the Vita's software line-up in the long term, although a side effect would be the problem that you describe.

Poor review. Tells me very little of the structure of the levels. Are they corridor-fests like in CoD or more open like the ones from the first Resistance? He mentions the multiplayer is a lot of fun, but fails to offer up any reason as to why it is. Mentions that deathmatch and survival mode is fun, but neglects telling us how the modes work, or if there are any other ones. Good that he liked it, but didn't really tell me something new or intriguing about the game. Well, I did learn that the weapons have touch-screen features... *puke*

June is a good month for the Vita, certainly here in the UK.
Resistance, Gravity Rush, Metal Gear Collection and multi-format release LEGO Batman 2 which I'm strongly considering getting on the handheld.
Had a quick 30 minute go on Resistance (my brother has a review copy) and I thought it was great. Looks stunning, controls really well and there's some really intense firefights. Nihilistic have put the horror of Move PlayStation Heroes behind them.

Having said that, I probably wouldn't mind them so much if they were actual like for like ports AND NOT TAKEN FROM INFERIOR DEVICES FFS!

It'd be cool to play MGS HD Collection at home then continue on the go, the trouble is (Like with MGS) they release the Vita version too late after the console version and its dependent on people double dipping which only an incredibly small number of people will do. Plus, it keeps the handheld from having any unique reasons to buy which it is in need of. I get why publishers can't put both versions in one box for ?40 but it's a shame.
