You just need both handhelds running the same account. PS3's don't have anything to do with it.

If there are two accounts, how is it supposed to know you are trying to passport the game over? It's a no brainier. It couldn't possibly work any other way.

You may already have used your passport with the first account now too.

Yes I know they need to both be set the same account.

When I try to log in with my psn username and password on the psp passport it gives me that message of can't use another account after I've entered the account's details in.
Initially before doing this it's got another account's username and password already stored in the entry field... So I delete that and re enter the account I want to.

I must be missing something blatantly obviously but for the life of me I can see it.

The account on the PSP itself has to match the one on the Vita.

It seems like you have a different account on the PSP (which is why it defaults to that one in the entry field), and you are trying to log into the Passport using the one that is on your Vita, which isn't going to work. You can easily check the account on the PSP by going into the PSN or the account details section. You need to delete that account from the PSP, then enter the one you have on the vita. After that the Passport will work.

The PSP, the Passport, and the Vita all need the same account. It does explain all of this in the instructions, although as you say it's blatantly obvious...

No ones mentioned about System Activation settings. Even if your using the same account (on two different systems psp/psv) you need to check if that the system your using is activated for Games, and Movies as the two are seperate.

All he needs to do is match up the PSP with the Vita and it'll work.

Ok I finally got it working. Apparently my psp was registered with an old psn account that wasn't Japanese. Problem was I had no memory of it even being registered or activated so deactivating it helped.

                Two questions:

                1. Can I do this:

Setup my Vita with my US Playstation account but still use Netflix on it? I'm signed up for netflix which I can currently watch using my PS3 (UK acct), vita (UK acct), iPhone etc. But I can't remember how I set up netflix on the devices. maybe it just wants my netflix email and password?

                2. Can I somehow make my gamesaves (saved in my UK PS account) work when my Vita is set up with my US account or do i have to start them all again?

                Thanks!

I don't think the saves can be accessed from different accounts, unfortunately.

In light of the forthcoming PS1 support, and the fact that the JP PSP selection is far more comprehensive, I'm actually going to be adding my JP PSN account to my Vita. I've found a guide that explains how to do it with one memory card, with the aid the Content Manager's backup facility. It's a bit fiddly to set up, but once set up, switching between accounts should be as simple as loading up a different 'backup' using the Content Manager (no need to system restore each time).

Truth be told, I only have one UK game for my Vita - WipEout 2048. So I have little need to keep my UK account on the Vita... except the online pass is used on the UK account, as well as the WipEout HD/Fury DLC. Grr.

Cheers. Decided to switch to US account as I have a number of US PS1 games on PSN already as well as... Killzone Liberation which looks bloody brilliant on that Vita screen! Turn off the filtering for the best effect. Great detail. May finally finish it now.

Just tried the UMD Passport service for the first time - it's surprisingly easy, as long as the game is supported (and many of the ones I wanted to play were not). Is there anything to prevent me from just grabbing a bunch of cheap 500 yen PSP games and registering them?

Seriously Sony need to get some software out fast , otherwise mine will be up for grabs before long

As long has they haven't already been registered, no.

Are the discs really individually identifiable though? I know it has been said that they are, but has anyone actually tried to register a game on two different accounts? You'd think mass-produced discs would be identical - after all, that's why external methods such as online passes are used to prevent preowned.

I am waiting for P4 Golden and Ragnarok, but both aren't even being announced for Europe yet, so yeah..

The released worldwide numbers were rather shocking too.

Vita sales are at 2.2m as of 30th June. To readdress the poor sales Sony plans to increase its marketing towards younger gamers. Fail.
