RR7 isn't very good TBH, certainly not on par with Wipeout and MotorStorm 2. It's a Japan-only update as far as I know. The west wont get it.
However, RR7 is one of the only games that is region-free for DLC so perhaps you can get away with D/Ling the JPN patch and it'll run alongside the PAL game.Kept you waiting, huh?Comment

You might not want to bother as although it's really cheap (Y500) from what I've read it was really poor at TGS. The graphics are supposed to look really rough and the 3D effect is supposed to be the poorest of the games that have been released in 3D.
Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad if there was a free demo to just mess around with but to pay Y500 to make your game worse seems a bit daft. The update doesn't add anything apart from the 3D support which seems to look more like layered 2D, I know that some people were hoping for trophy support but Namco didn't have to do that as it's just a game patch rather than a new game.Comment

It's more depth than 3D. Nothing seems to actually jump out at you. I was massively disappointed at the lack of Trophy support as it would have given me a reason to play through it for the third time.Kept you waiting, huh?Comment

Thought it was worth mentioning here that the 3D expansion pack for Ridge Racer 7 went up in the UK on Wednesday and it's a free upgrade for UK users.Comment

Tried the RR7 3D update last nite, waste of time. 3D only just adds a tad more depth than the standard version. And to top it of it only runs at 30fps in 720P
