    Gamesville Presenters

i know this is a kids show, but since when have presenters been this bad outside of community television.

are they care in the community cases? are they retarded? they can't even read the auto-cue convincingly (presenting skill 101).

this show must done on the cheap, cheap, cheap and the quick, quick, quick - but there must be thousands of much better unknown presenters that would work for the peanuts these guys are proberly paid.

They're probably nice people but they seem to have very little awareness of what they are talking about. They seem to have a very short attention span and keep saying wicked, cool and i've played that on the playstation init, typical urban yoof show

Games guru is great thou, almost as good as Nam Rude! Most amusing

i suggest you people turn over to Bravo or set your Sky + to series link for "Around the world in 80 games"

Its good alternative to Gamezville, its about a games enthusiast touring America talking to the head honchos of videogaming. You get a sneak peak of NOA, EA, Westwood, Microsoft and Sony. He also talks to various crazy gamers, good looking ladies that breath, eat and sleep Lara, students that attend videogames universities (located right next to NOA) and the usual tour of E3 2003 (Talks to the guy who made Tetris, Molenuex, Trip Hawkings, Robbie Bach and ofcourse the booth babes). Best gaming TV i've seen in a very long time.

        I noticed that too.

One that stupid "Clash of the Titles" bit that they have, they were piting C&C: Generals againsts Red Alert 2, except the footage they showed wasn't C&C Generals, it was Commandos 2.

Also, they seem to be a bunch of Xbox fanboys. It's always Xbox this and Xbox that, which can get a bit annoying. Cover some different consoles for a change FFS!

I caught a little bit of this and it was very good. He met up with a capcom bloke to talk about resident evil history in a haunted house

then he watched a movie based on house of the dead and went to the arcades to go play it after! It was like Bill Bryson but with videogames, will have to try and watch some other episodes. Well done Bravo! Put Louie Theroux back on also!!

The 2 guys know as much about games as your standard casual gamer would. Problem is, they try to pretend that thay are hardcore gamers and that really ****s me off. Most of the time they are reading from simple scripts and they probably don't even know that games exist outside the PAL universe.

Classic Quote from the program (reviewing the new Charlie's Angels game) :

I haven't seen the film or played the game, but I'm going to give this game a score of 3 out of 5.

            Go figure.

i just don't understand how the producer's could hire such a couple of talentless and unsuitable presenters. sure they are both good looking boyz, but they seem like they have just been randomly picked off the street. i don't get it.

they piss me off on spades - just because of their moronic and crinch-worthy performance. they had better be replaced, or this show is deader than dead.

I've seen a few of these and it is pretty good. The guy seems to know exactly what he's talking about. For example he was talking to a guy who made Christian games where you have to zap monsters. He asked why it was okay to zap monsters and the guy said because they weren't human. SO, he then asked why, then, is it not alright to play games like house of the dead and the christian guy was completely stumped by his own hypocritism (is that a word?)

Still, he doesn't actually go round the world, just up the west side of US..it would have been nice if he went to Japan, at least.

I think they're getting a lot of undue criticism. What many of you seem to be forgetting is the programme is aimed at the teen domestic market, and from this point of view, I think it is succeeding.

What it isn't aimed at is the importer, many of whom frequent this site, so it's unlikely to gain support here.

I've watched a number of shows now (as it's on the Sky remix at 6pm), and think it's vastly improved from the first few shows. The items seem, on the whole, reasonably well researched, and the presenters certainly appear to enjoy gaming, and have actually played games (which I seriously doubt Violet Berlin has).

                    Regards
                    Marty

But its the way they give a score on a game after the teenybopper does, you just know they havent even bothered to actually play the game !

Mind you did you see the epp with the 2 chaps playing Micro machines on the cube ? Man no wonder games dont get on tv much when the best the show can come up with is 2 stereotypical nerdy ugly geeks to play a tv challange !

I loved it during the C VS SNK 2 challenge.
The BOYZ were acting like they played the game before and liked it.
It was the London stage, and so blah blah etc etc "I like this game 'cos of the playability and the graphiOH WOW A LONDON BUS! LOOK AT THAT MAN, WICKED!" Obviously the first time he'd seen that then.

Oh and a review today was MS FLightsim 2004 or some ****. And of course it was great 'cos it had such brilliant graphics and "London is in it."
There were 2 kids eviewing it. One was sitting with a joystick, on the runway waiting. And he kept pressing the joystick forward as if he was thinking "ok....GO.......em, GO......right now....GO!" And it was blatantly obvious that they didn't even know how to get the planes up into the air. Christ.

They suck. Must watch this 80 games thing.

The brilliant thing about Gamezville is the way the presenters cant stop moving their arms.
That, and the fact that its utter crap.

                              You are joking right?

I regard VB as one of the best games journos in the business. She knows far far more than those 2 guys.
