I agree. Like the lovely Fern from This Morning I have too much respect for her as a "TV mother" type, to see her as an object of sexual desire!

True, but couldn't programs like this attempt to appeal to both audiences? Gamesmaster was very mainstream friendly with it's innuendo-based humour and celebrity play, but it also covered the other side with things like the Japanese Virtua Fighter challenges. I don't see why everything has to be so black and white.

Let's honestly look at the first series of Gamepad, it was obviously aimed at 16-24 year old males (preferably without girlfriends) and she wore the kind of clothes that would maximise that audience (and her cleavage ). It was also on Bravo, a channel not adverse to sexually selling it's shows.

I think both Gareth and Violen realised that to get at least another series they needed more than just game footage to get Bravo to sign up. So what, she uses her sexuality to advance her career - can't see the problem myself. Especially knowing that she does know about games, more so than any other presenter on TV.

So, great bod, great gamer, decent show - Gareth's a lucky man.
