IMHO, nonsense. Thats like saying puzzle games have no place on a computer just because they don't appeal to me. I don't see why people want to play them when you can just do a Sudoku on a bit of paper etc.

Strategic battle systems are great, they force you to use your brain to make decisions to survive. That is the gameplay, its not all about shooting and jumping but then even Mario did that in 1985.

I didn't say they shouldn't be made or don't deserve to sell well, I just said for me they are a relic. I also don't think there is any more strategy involved in an RPG battle than there is in say flanking a building full of enemies in a FPS or any battle in a third person shooter with a good cover system.

Thats very true. But after all with the lack of general physics the strategy the main part. Also a few games like MW are totally preset. The same each time whereas a big battle in an RPG can differ very much due to the actions of the boss not being predeterminded.

I think the only one i really what to buy is White Knight Chronicles it looks fun and i've been waiting for it to come out here since it come out in japan , but then again i know i will end up picking up Final Fantasy XIII at some point when it is cheaper only

think im gonna pick up white knight cronicles, ff13, end of eternity and maybe star ocean 4
need to get stuck into some nice rpg's this year! : )
