                The level of security on the PS3 is pretty damn impressive. Protection layers heaped upon protection layer with a separate background process constantly checking to make sure the security isn't broken.

                I hope it doesn't get broken to the extent of it allowing piracy. Would be interesting if they could enable a version of linux with full access to the GPU though. Would make for an unbeatable emulator/HTPC.

                However it sounds like the process needed to break just the hypervisor is incredibly complex. Doubt it'll end up anything like as simple as the R4 or Homebrew Channel.
