Hey @g4tv - I had/have ZERO problems with your review of our game. You are entitled to that opinion and I respect it and appreciate it. As ya'll know, I dig your network and am always honored and excited when I get to do stuff with you guys. 5/5 or 1/5, that won't change. So with all that out of the way, let's be clear: the review your guy wrote was fine, but his insults and attitude and response to folks on the comment section makes it pretty obvious: y'all got an ill informed d**k on the payroll who admits to bringing an agenda to his review process. Am higher G4. I'd rather get a 1/5 from someone who knows his s**t like @AdamSessler than this 3.5/5 from his guy who would rather pick a fight and push his agenda that do his job. Anyway, much love g4. I remain a fan. But f**k that guy. What a d**k.

How are the other maps? The demo was bland and generic as hell

Pretty much every retailer has put back the release date again from 7th March to 16th March. I'm presuming it's been put back because Sony wanted to avoid coming out directly against ME3

A quick reminder that when the game comes out this Friday, the PAL version though cut contains a download code for Twisted Metal Black.

But is the download version of Twisted metal black the already butchered PAL copy, or the full featured US version?

I'm presuming its the edited PAL version, a shame its not an online supporting version of the Black Online model. Would have been cool.

If there's cutscenes for the single player, or if you can shoot down the plane on the first level then it's uncut.

No cutscenes but I could shoot down a plane (don't know if it's the plane but there you go)

The big 747 you shoot down, it crashes in the corner of the level and you can drive up it like a ramp to collect a secret character. I'd that's the one you're talking about.

If so that's really strange, that wasnt possible in the PAL release, so to put that in but not the cutscenes is strange!

Will be curious to see how this does. Everywhere seems to be expecting this to be the very last entry but with the dev studio still going (sans Jaffe) it will probably depend on sales. In total lifetime sales the console versions have usually rested on between 1-2 million so it'll be a real indicator if a new one this late in the gen doesn't meet that.

I love twisted metal, but hated the demo. Controls were no longer intuitive, didn't like the music, the levels that were too big, and the lack of specific character/vehicle combinations. Unsure whether to bother at the moment.

World tour will forever remain the best the series has to offer IMO.

I've taken a punt on it but I doubt it'll last me very long. I do think there's a place in the market for this type of game and TM was perfectly placed to make the most of that but they've stuck so doggedly at the old rules they've missed that chance. It's like they decided it didn't stand a chance before even making it. Single player should have been the same as the old ones and mp having new levels and also a greatest hits style approach with updated controls and tighter movement. Not really hard to make either but they've simply HD'd up a languishing old version by the looks from its long troubled dev.
