While I'm not sure if Alice is worth that score (not having played it) the video I saw of it today makes it look anything but your typical movie tie in.

Game reviews are not just a measure of personal opinion, they should also recognise technical achievement but lets be honest, look at the **** they write about PS3 games.Modern Warfare 2 & Uncharted 2 both got 9s for being top of their genre (yet unoriginal).Bayonetta. Whilst I was underwhelmed by it, if a person says it is at the top of its pre-existing genre then surely that would be a 9? But what happened? Bayonetta- its better on 360 so EDGE decide to do some grandstanding for it, and themselves. They give it a 10?

Final Fantasy better on PS3 yet they give it a 5? Yes (from the little I've played)it is linear, and it doesn't seem like I will love it like some of the classic FF games, but wow it is better than so much more of the **** out there. Visually it is beautiful. To rate this PS3 game a 5 is not an opinion, it is an unprofessional attack.
Halo 3 deserved its 10. But Halo ODST, an over-rated level pack they give a 9?!
God of War 3 an 8 when the words of the article say otherwise. It is a game that is top of its genre. So an 8 for this game that is so technically excellent as well as being the top of its genre is a bit disingenuous. I think they would have given it a 7 if they could have.

To be honest those read like just another piss poor excuse for an opinion. All sounds like bull**** that falls under 360 vs ps3, it always gets tiring.
Harsh AND biased reviewers? Just don't get that BUT Metacritic is somehow the proof? ha.

Yawn. Every generation there's always a set of whining conspiracy theorists that claim Edge is biased against "their" console. It's the PS3 this time around.

On the other hand, many places use 7 as an average mark so it's natural to predict that overall Edge is going to seem to be scoring lower than a lot of other places.

Well he does have a point really, going on the scores alone they dont seem to like the PS3 much.

Though maybe they scored Valkyria Chronicles high? cant remember.

Overall they do appear to be 360 fan boys, more fool them though, the PS3 has been much more impressive for exclusives latley than the 360.

Edge has never been a magazine ive really cared about much anyway luckily, I only come in threads about them to look at the silly scores they give.

My problem with Edge reviews is they're so boring to read these days , and they don't pick up things that I think should be noted . Bad Company II features the most Impressive , most realistic sound effects I've hear in a game, and the Edge review doesn't give any credit to the sound .
At least Give credit when a developer tries hard , or do EDGE reviews games, on a Mono TV ?

Most of that seems like arguing over one point out of 10. "OMG it should have been 9 not 10" "OMG it got 1 point different on one platform rather than another" etc.
