I think it's pretty obvious that they're committed to it. They're giving it a big marketing push even now, and that's only going to increase as we get to E3 and beyond.
I also think people are underestimating what Sony first party will produce for this. They have a pretty strong track record with this kind of venture, so there's no reason to think they can't make it a success at least in the casual sector (It's not going to trouble the Wii though).
I'm curious to see if they can give me anything of interest as a traditional gamer personally. If nothing much happens in that sector, I'm unlikely to pick it up at all (Although if they patch Move controls into the UK version of Eyepet my daughters might have something to say about that!
