Taking it back to the shop and they're going to swap it for me. If I'm the only person to have had this issue then there must be something wrong with my actual unit I reckon. I reckon this will eveolve into a great gaming platform and for me it's worth the entry cost for Ghost Recon alone. Well, nearly ;-)

The figures are a bit mixed for Nintendo; their most successful launch ever but sales are well below the pre-order figures they sent out. I'd imagine the price war helped inflate the pre-order figures as people changed where they got it from.
Probably explains why they haven't been shouting it from the rooftops.
*tuts at MCV for not trimming the title fields and leaving the remnents of a new line on the end*

Haven't bothered with streetpass yet - mainly as I don't have anything to carry my 3DS in, but might take it out tomorrow as town will be heaving! I do live right next to the High Street though and have left it by the window occasionally (there are shops on the street I live in) but either i'm too high up or noones walked past here with one.
Thinking about it, I almost walk past the EA building every day, perhaps I should detour!

Another analogy would be mixing, listening to two beats at once, and then being able to discern between them and work out how to sync them, which requires your neural pathways to rewire themselves - something they're designed to be able to do if need be. The body's designed to be able to adapt to its environment, if you hit the weight, you get bigger and stronger, the more you shave, the more it'll grow back etc. i don't think it's anything to worry about, personally.
Science right thereAnyone got any quotes from optometrists saying it's a good thing?
The body does adapt to its environment (to a degree), but the way your muscles grow if you train them doesn't apply in exactly the same way to your brain. The thing about hair growing back thicker if you shave it is a myth as well.
A week later, I straight-up can't see the 3D on mine. Utterly bizarre and I can't figure it out. I can see 3D with glasses at the cinema/on 3D TVs, and I did a load of magic eye pictures the other day to make sure I can still do them, which I can. But the 3DS, I just can't see 3D, even on the lowest setting- it just looks like 2 images that are out of sync.

It's not headache inducing or anything but it's definitely weird. Did Nintendo do any bloody research before unleashing this technology?

OMG!!
I've just been Streetpassed twice. The first time it's happened. I've taken out my 3DS to play SSFIV on the bus on the way home and the little green LED is glowing away! I was filled with such a ridiculously giddy feeling of excitement and was grinning away as I loaded the Mii Plaza.
It's little touches like this that remind me why Nintendo are at the top of their game.
Heeheehee!!!

I would disagree and say that this has been one of the worst for launch titles, not a single one i have any interest in at all. Same goes for a few people i know. The launch titles suck is the general vibe im getting. Coupled with the very high price, crappy battery and hundreds of reports of the 3D affecting peoples vision i think many will have been put off by this. The fact that children under 7 years cannot or should not use it is a ball buster for Nintendo, thats a HUGE market they discounted themselves from. Hoping Zelda is to a success. I dont think its been anyway near as successfull as what many were expecting, shops still have loads of stock, (I work part time at morissons) and they have had a new delivery today so have plenty of stock, they just arent shifting them how they expected to.
