3DS games have been doing very poorly in the multiformat charts since a week after launch. I think I've only seen one or two enter it in the low twenties.

It must be pretty damn worrying for Nintendo. To get to 40 must require what, low thousands? It suggests that not only are people not buying the games, they're not buying the consoles either.

Still, Zelda will be the first test. If that can't break into the top 10, it's a pretty dire situation.

Indeed, if Zelda can't break top 10 and sell consoles, then Nintendo have a very serious problem!

Truth be told though, Steel Diver just doesn't look all that interesting. Don't get me wrong, it could be great but it's not one I would ever expect to chart well. It has had some good press but very little actual hype and I'm not sure it would be mentioned at all if it weren't for the fact that it's about the only new 3DS game since the machine's release.

Early days tho, and not many people can afford a 3ds at this time of year.Things will really pick up end of summer and for christmas

Steel Diver was ?40 in Game today. ?40. In contrast, 2nd hand SF and Nintendogcats were ?23.99. If I were someone who bought things in Game, I know what I'd buy.

The fact they were ?23.99 does worry me slightly, as to my mind thats a pretty decent price coming from a usually overpriced shop. If Game are having to slash the prices so much (I know CEX did a couple of weeks ago too) then I can only see this as meaning they are just not shifting. There was a 3DS demo pod on the counter - no one was using it, yet the 2 360 console at the back of the store were both being played (by a group of 10 year old girls no less).

I really like the 3DS. I played Pilotwings with 3D on max a lot of the time, and don't think I could of completed it if I had had the 3D off - some of the levels really need that added depth to judge the angle of approach. Even now I am mainly using it for DS games, I still love the analogue nub and would choose it every time over the D-Pad of the DS. I hope it does succeed as it has so much more to give. Personally I'm not into OOT but agree that it will become a tool with which to measure the 3DS's success.

Any 3DS game going up against a brand new (example) Call of Duty or 360/PlayStation 3 title price wise, is nuts imho.

I don't know why, it just seems crazy that a 3DS title should cost that much.

It baffles me that Steel Diver would cost that much. Flash memory cards cost pennies and the game is hardling bursting with new tech, 3D aside. Even the 3D is pretty basic in it.

Companies need to learn to price games accordingly.

I bought Steel Diver on Friday for ?31 from Tesco and given the scope of the game that felt at least ?6 too much. ?40 in game is crazy. I just checked and Steel Diver didn't even get into the top 40. Worldwide sales so far for it are 38,000. That's a major worry. I love the 3DS but the games are not selling at all

It's not really a surprise that Steel Diver didn't sell though, I've personally seen zero advertising for it, and it's not exactly "Mario" is it.

There have been TV ads for Steel Diver, certainly seen at least one.

Most reviews on metacritic criticise the game length and the price.

tshirt turned up its free and horrible im no. 1739, i registred mine on the thursday before launch so no doubt its maninly game shop staff getting these tshirts , registrant 1739 i feel like a convict, "im not a number im a free man"

quality wise this thing is top notch, really horrid very thick plastic print on the front, the tshirt is made from very thin material and its a v neck wtf.
