I'm on my first elite console here after my launch day one eventually succumbed to the RRoD following enumerable drive and disk read related errors.

No problems here to date with current machine, outside of the odd crash (bought December 2008). Touch wood I don't get anything more serious.

I can't even remember how many I've had now which isn't a good sign. Can we have another question asking how many of these threads we've voted in as I must be up to 3 or 4 now?

I'm really hoping that Jasper answer stays nice and low as I specifically bought a MW 2 Elite for the reduced noise and longer life that I was hoping for from the improved hardware.

They do seem to have improved over time but it has left me more than a touch wary of buying their future hardware at launch.

Guess I am due an update.

I have had a UK launch date console and Halo 3 console both die on me, the former was a victim of the three red lights and the latter fell to the E74 error.

I have an elite (120GB) at the moment and have had no issues with that so far. *crosses fingers*

Well I am still on my second xbox, should be 3 year old this November.
First one almost lasted 2 years from launch day, died in November 2007 disc drive went.
Oh and I consider myself VERY lucky to only have had 2 consoles total, know so many people with issues and some that have given up or persisted.

Despite the whole silly codenames of these revisions, Jaspers break too. Mine lasted 13 months, of very very moderate use, with a RROD. My previous launch machine wouldn't read discs (the same fault as the original XBOX, lightning does strike twice).

So far on my 4th machine, and out of those due to being out of warranty, I have had to buy two machines.

1st machine - launch premium - didn't read discs - sent another machine
2nd machine - One light on the RROD, quoted £80+ to fix, went out and bought a Jasper arcade...
            3rd machine - Jasper - RROD
4th machine - My repaired Jasper returned. Just waiting for it to go wrong again now.

That's not high enough! Some of us are nearly in double figures

I'm still on my second one, my launch machine died when Halo 3 came out, and then MS gave me a brand new unit rather than a refurb, so I've been alright, considering. Disc ejection is starting to get a bit iffy, but that's fixable.

I'm now on my fourth console, which has also recently given me the RROD. Its started working again now but its only a matter of time! I'm seriously thinking of selling off all my 360 stuff and getting a PS3 when it does finally die, and i'm not sure i'll bother with another
Microsoft console in the future. I'm sure most of you already know what kills them off, but just in case, with mine its been changes in temperature. Each one has gone around Christmas time when its been cold in the day, and hot at night with the heating on. Doesnt matter how well ventilated it is or if its even in use! Cold to hot and vice versa and its a goner. We've recently had a cold spell so stuck the heating on and BOOM 3 red lights. My mate stands his on top of his dvd player and hd box in his tv cabinet which seems to have kept it at almost a constant temperature. His made the grand age of about 4 years like that, which is the longest i've heard of one lasting. What really does my head in, is that i keep on buying games for the bloody thing even though i know i'm not going to have anything to play them on eventually. Idiot!

                    No problems.

having said that, its only been turned on maybe 5 times in the past two years. i think the whole situation is despicable, unless theres some exclusive i cant live without i wont use it... and there hasnt been any for a long time.

Machine number 4 still working. Like Fuddle, it hardly gets used these days. It's not worth the effort to get rid of it and I'd only rebuy one when Gears 3 comes out.

2nd console, due to region. No problems so far.

                          Oh, Bonus Question I missed!

I think I'm on my third Jasper? None have RROD, but had other issues. One wouldn't give an hdmi signal some of the time, though sound via optical was fine.

Since I've swapped it (Gamestation are brilliant in that regard), I've had no issues
