Put it on Twitter. That's where people go to get things done nowadays.

Keep us posted as I for one am completely baffled by their behaviour.

Is there not another Gamestation in that area that you could return it to?

Not ideal, I know, but maybe you'd get more luck and they'll just swap it over.

The other one is a fair distance away and would take some effort to get too right now. Plus I don't fancy taking it there only to be turned away (and ringing them might just be a repeat of what happened with the local store where they tried to flannel me).

Digging my heels in at this point, I'd rather not now on principal alone, but to be honest though if I'd thought of that at the start of this I would would have done that - it would certainly have been less hassle than all this.

My 360 just died. Keeps freezing pretty much from startup.

Are these new ones any better?

The e73 refers to what has actually gone wrong, e73 is a general hardware fault to do With the Ethernet port apparently. Maybe five it a little clean or something?

My 360 did a funny graphic thing yesterday. The screen went a bit fuzzy, and shuddery. It's bound to go boom any time now. What are the new 360's like, reliability wise? Still rubbs?

Well I decided to get a new 4GB slim after reshuffling all my gear and not liking how the old white jasper looked under the TV...

The power supply brick was a screamer. Worse than any of the past models I've returned due to noise. Took it back to the shop today and got a replacement which was from NZ (slim) launch stock. Different revision of power supply this time and oh what a difference!

There is also an earlier video I did comparing the screamer with my old Jasper. Its in the video response.

With the old models, we had the acoustic differences between delta and Nidec fans to contend with, now it seems that the power supplies can have nasty little noisemakers in them. Vast majority seem to be the quiet type, but if you land a screamer... its terrible.

Perhaps sensing that there's only 1 proper 360 game left to come out my 4th 360 keeled over and died last night. Having disconnected it and collected all the stuff I have for it I had more accessories than games. The amount of RROD's between me and my mate just make the system completely not worth risking a 5th one so I'm going to stay without and there's no way I could conscienciously recommend a 360 to someone now the PS3 offers such a similar lineup with greater reliability. It's definately the no1 thing MS has to address next gen

This one was a late Chunky model but between me and my mate we've seen both falter. My guess is that that the current heatwave has pushed it over the edge as summer does seem to be the time of year they've been most likely to fail on us.

This most recent one was a 2nd hand one as I begrudged paying out top dollar for a new console everytime when they kept crashing after 18-24 months. This one's done a similar mileage to the others which were new so not too bad.

I'm blaming this for my PS3 going too - my current flat is insanely hot, even with all the windows open/fan on.
