No, I don't think it's based on the old Saboteur.

Yeah, the Spectrum Saboteur was a ninja if I remember correctly? Not a drunken womanising Irishman anyway.

EDF 2017 is a really good one, I still go back and play it as the co-op is hard to beat for just being so satisfying - I wouldn't think it would be that difficult to produce another game and as the first did reasonably well I'm disappointed it's never appeared.

Star Control 2. Mass Effect would be pretty close if instead of crew members, you'd have to recruit entire races to fight against the Reapers. Star Control 3 was rather weak and not the proper sequel for one of the greatest games ever made.

There's not enough games like EDF around. Too many games just aren't pick-up-and-play fun. Not that that's a problem, I just long for those days of doing a few levels of blasting without having to think about so many complications.

Having said that, the latter levels on Inferno required a lot of thought and planning. Just the toughest levels, mind.

Uhm ... System Shock 3 anyone?

I would love a third Maximo game as well. I think I read somewhere there was a third game in pre-production but it got cancelled because Maximo vs Army of Zin didn't sell enough copies

I'm pretty sure a Rez sequel would be interesting.

Oh, and after finishing Alan Wake, a sequel can't come soon enough.

Definitely, I was having a lot of fun recently with Serious Sam as the 16 player co-op mode is just absolutely mental...there just seems to be masses of enemies and weapons fire everywhere. It hasn't really advanced at all from Doom but there's nothing wrong with that as multiplayer Doom was just as fun in its day as well.

That is certainly very true which is surprising as the game looks so simplistic but my brother and I have spent a long time trawling through weapons choices try to work out the optimum combinations for the leves. It's a major point of frustration that I have just one level of inferno left and it's not even the very last level which I managed to do on my own without that dynamite cheat (woohoo!). Reading around I need to do some serious health farming as I'm on a comparatively low HP level.

I'm a massive fan of System Shock 2 and Rez, particularly the latter as it's one of the few games I can play over and over again yet still really enjoy. However I'd rather they were both left as is because I don't think anything needs to be added to them and realistically any new work could detract from the original. Having said that though I'd love to see a Starfox with Rez-style visuals as a sort of homage to the original game as I think the Rez graphics still look superb and prefer the style of the original Starfox game to the later ones.
