There's no chance Resi5 was the same as Resi4. It's like playing a completely different game. You can't pull off half the **** with Chris that you can with Leon because they added realtime weapon swaps. Realism kicked in and took out the fun unfortunately.

Resident Evil 5 couldnt have been the most disapointing game of last year though!, hard to belive so many voted it as such. It wasn't as good as RE4 but no way was it a bad game... .

Resi 5 should have been a whole lot better than what it was, but it couldn't even trump a five year old Gamecube title. That in itself is disapointing, but when you consider the ill advised cramming in of the co-op that just puts the final nail in the coffin.

Odd... From the GotY list I think I've only played about 4 of the top 10. Killzone keeps getting mentioned, I should probably try that out.

Uncharted 2, while deservedly so sits at the top, I would probably keep Assassins Creed 2 for my GotY.

I disagree with your opinion of the Co-Op, but everything else hits the nail on the head.

The most prevalent issue with the game is the general apathy every situation presents you with.

Every set piece, enemy and design choice in Resident Evil 4 was performed to a higher quality, with more frequency and handled with a more original touch, than any part of Resident Evil 5.

Resident Evil 5 is not a bad game at all, but if you have played and enjoyed previous games in the series, it is an incredibly disappointing one.

I actualy do agree it was disapointing, but I didnt think it was actualy THAT disapointing. It is still a fun game, and the Co-op isnt shoved in or ill advised. the game is actualy more fun in co-op, its the best way to play it.

The fact is very few things can trump RE4, its still absolubtley brilliant and one of the best games ever to this day. Just becuase you cant top the best game ever shouldnt mean you have made the years most disapointing game.

I'm not surprised but I was really hoping Demon's Souls would be top 3 at least, I can't help but wonder if the survey was done again it wouldn't have crept up a couple of places.

Uncharted 2 - could see that coming a mile off, I'm still not particularly tempted to try it out though.
