    Infamous 2 [PS3]

Excuse the proper capitalisation, I'm not sure how they're planning on doing it this time.

Game Informer is your source for the latest in video game news, reviews, previews, podcasts, and features.

    That's quite a redesign!

    More lightning? Blargh!

By the end of the first one that had been covered enough and I would have hoped they'd have diversified this time around with some other super powers to play with.

I could happily have played three more islands in the first game just with the powers he had. I'm sure they'll mix it up a little with new stuff, but as it's following Cole I don't see the option but to keep it lightning based.

Depends how the story goes of course, they might not want to let everyone know how he's going to develop.

I guess I just long for the game they were originally going to make where you got to choose your different powers and developed them from there.

Quite looking forward to it, though I do hope they've fixed the flaws. It wasn't a great looking city (and didn't really feel like one), the engine had some nasty rough edges, the story was horribly paced and varied far too much in quality (for the love of God, stop putting ****ty comic relief characters in videogames who aren't even funnyyyyy) and too many of the lightning powers weren't that exciting.

On the other hand it was a hell of a lot of fun to play around with, innovative or not (flying from rooftop to rooftop for the goddamned win), the story had its moments and it did have some terrific action set pieces. I should finish my evil playthrough some time.

And it was so, so, so much better than Prototype.

(And partly I grumble about it so much because I got stuck on the last shard. Something in my brain just shut down to protect me from thinking about it any more when I realised this was Crackdown all over again. >_< )

I loved this, think I voted for it in the GotY thread, was brilliant and so much better than Prototype.

Wonder if its a rush job for this xmas or into next year ?

Awesome news! First game was brilliant fun so no complaints from me.

                  Playable at E3?

Awesome!Although it never quite made my top 3 GOTY nominations for last year, the original was still one of my favourite games of 2009. Yes it wasn't as technically polished as other titles but felt like such a joy to play.

The fact that I pretty much blasted through it twice in a couple of weeks for both good and evil clears and went for all blast shards on both runs is testament to how much I enjoyed it.

Will be keeping my eye on this.

Love the colour scheme and art style on that cover. Hope its like that in the game, the original game seriously needed some colour and style.

I purchased the first one last week and tried to get into it but couldn't. Felt like a weak crackdown to me and as crackdown 2 is out in a month I just couldn't be arsed to dedicate time to it.

Man I have been a real grumpy dude with my games of late. Played killzone 2 last night and thought Mmmeehhhh can't be bothered with it.

I think I should stop playing games in the summer........

Wow. I started reading this thread and felt I needed to post how Infamous was like a better version of Crackdown (which was a reason to own a 360 IMO)! horses for courses I guess!

Your opinion might hold more weight as I have only played 2 hours of infamous. I just let little things put me off too soon like the pin sharp accuracy of the bad guys from a stupid distance.
