    Quite.

But they have been promoting it quite heavily, with the "Child of Eden Experience" demo's around London.

Honestly, it's hard to say exactly what they predicted, but it isn't meeting it, yet.

London is only one part of the UK though, I can't say I've seen any print or TV advertising for this.

Fair point, can't recall much myself to be honest!

The only advertising i have seen is a poster in the window of Game here in leeds, nothing outside of a gaming shop. They really should advertise in the cinema, imagine seeing that on a screen that size it would get loads of people curious to what it was.

Judging on previous Q Ent titles, i don't think they or Ubisoft would want to risk a multi-million nationwide advertising campaign. They'll probably just be content to sell all the first (and only) print copies.

Indeed, it's a niche title for a niche audience. No sense pretending it's anything else.

It entered the UK chart at number 25, not good.

                      That is a real shame.

I wouldn't say it is a niche game, I don't know why you might think of it that way - no more niche than Wii Fit or Dance Central particularly are.

This game is fairly niche, no one outside of the gaming community has heard of Rez, same for Tetsuya Mizuguchi (or cares much) this was never ever going to sell to anyone other than gamers\hardcore\enthusiast type people. Is the game great? Of course it is. Would my wife rather play this rather than dance central, not a chance.

I'm no analyst but dance/fitness games seem all the rage at the moment, where as shooters, especially on-rail shooters seem as popular as a paedophile at a children's party, least that's the impression I get. I was surprised (and delighted) a sequel to Rez got given the green light at all to be honest, especially in the current gaming environment and gaming tastes being what they are today.

In an All Formats chart where Zumba Fitness is No.1 beating Zelda OOT 3DS to a top spot I would say 25 aint bad at all, especially for this type of game AND it being Xbox 360 only game too. Was No.9 in the Xbox 360 chart.

Zumba Fitness smashes everything though, it sells SO many copies on Wii.

For the record, Child of Eden was at least in the top 10 of Xbox 360 games!

I wonder if having the Kinect logo on the box will harm sales. Everyone who knows about this game will already know it was designed to be best with Kinect; maybe they should have omitted it.
