DKC takes me back, remember going into blockbuster to compete for the best hi-score. This looks sweet!

I hope they make a good job of the music, DKC is 49.9% about the music.

The music from the Prime games was handled by a Nintendo of Japan dude (Kenji Yamamoto) who had always done the Metroid games, which is why I have my doubts.

They should get Dave Wise in freelance and pay him a f**kload to make sure the job's a good 'un.

But yeah, that looks amazing so far.

If they do this, which they absolutely should, I will buy seven copies.

Wiki says Wise went freelance last year.
        It's not entirely impossible!

Really don't know why certain games press hate the original DKC, it has great platforming and supurb level design. Sure it has aged visually, but it still holds its charm.

Me and my mate just completed it again last night. It's certainly an all-time classic with some naughtly levels that have you swearing, and the parts where you have to proper wing it on limited lives until you reach the save point would be termed archaic in today's world of being able to save anywhere. This is what made the game though and had us on the edge of our seats trying to keep our calm.

It didn't do too bad in reviews from what I remember. I think only Dominik Diamond slated it.

Didn't Miyamoto famously slate DKC at some point?

Was so glad to see this at E3 was a nice surprise after the rumour sounded almost too good to be true, Retro+DK=eh?
                Miyamoto quote about RARE's version.
"Donkey Kong Country proves that players will put up with mediocre gameplay as long as the art is good." He did later apologise for saying it.

video has racked up +1 launch day sale from me

music seems intact, just need to hope they've not added irrelevent waggle or pointy controls to it.

Now THAT'S how you announce release dates.

I was expected hot topless women holding up banners with dates on them! That's clearly the best way of announcing release dates. I am most disappointed.

Gamestm preview seemed very positive too. Well chuffed.

That looks incredible, looks just the sort of game I want to sit down and play over the Christmas holidays.

It just looks so clever, amazing. So much more interesting than Sonic Colours.
