I went to the huge mall in Dhoby Ghaut today and visited the big arcade there... My head exploded.

Street Fighter 4 network with 6 cabs.
1x Super Street Fighter 4 cab which is all pristine and looks like it's for tourneys only, it had a rules board next to it as well. (switched off)
    SSF2X vs. cab
    Puzzle Fighter
    Tatsunoko vs. Capcom vs. cab
    Arcana Heart vs. cab
    Blazblue Calamity Trigger vs. cab
    Blazblue Continuum Shift vs. cab
    Loads of Tekken 6 cabs
    KoF '98 vs cab
Loads of KoF '02 vs. cabs
    2x KoF XII cabs
Some weird KoF which I've never seen before, high res backgrounds. It had literally everyone on it. It had copyright 2004 and 2009 on the title screen.
Raiden IV!!! *gush*. It seemed like it was on top difficulty or something, I got wasted instantly and decided not to piss anymore tokens down it.

There were loads more. I'll definitely take my camera next time!!

Went to another mall yesterday and found pretty much more of the same... SF4, tons of various KoF, TvsC, Blazblue, etc etc... I'm actually getting bored of seeing these same games now.

            Aye, that's the one! Cheers.

My local has had two Viewlix SF4 cabs installed. Strangely they aren't networked so it's impossible to have a vs. game, and the CPU is set to what seems to be 0 difficulty. Certainly not worth the $1 per credit, and I'm not the only person who thinks that going off the character usage records.

            Where's VF5 FFS!?

VF5R was apparently only rented out to arcades and had to be hooked up to VF.Net. I think that meant that no arcades outside of Japan could get it and with no console release either nobody could play it outside Japan. Sega might be doing the same thing with VF5FS...

we had five arcades in hornsea on the east yorkshire coast here in the UK, there are only two left, and both are massivley down on the number of machines that they have compared to the numbers that were on display in the 80's and early 90's, and there are very few video games left now. the sea front used to be heaving with visitors and bingo was played on a large scale in the two main amusements. those have both been closed now. we used to have bubble bobble, rainbow islands, afterburner, ladybug, pacman, space invaders, galaxian, thunderhawk, chase hq, raiden, metro cross, Mr Do !, bombjack, karnov, the simsons, tmnt, rabbit punch, galvan, star wars, captain commando, final fight, pang, radarscope, carnival, pacland, jackal, gauntlet 1 then 2 and quite a few more that i can't remember. sad times looking at out sea front now.

Aaaaaaah, fond memories of plonking over two quid into Three Wonders in a Hornsea arcade back in 1991, then going to the indoor market and getting my mum's boyfriend to buy us a cheap Buster Gonad Viz T-shirt, aaaaaaaah, having bad fish n' chips as well, aaaaaaaah.

                          Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

                          (I know, I'm getting old).

it's nearly all gone now. indoor market is a kids funhouse type thing, but probably more like brian potter's pink palace ! , dave's has gone as has pastimes. only regal next to the old market and rainbow's end are left. Fish and chips are better now though ! nice to hear of someone who's been to my hometown on here.

Haha, of course, but I'm not complaining. Went to Casino on the TCR the other day too, played Ketsui and Blazblue, both of them on 3 credits for £1 /o/ right on basically. They had Battle Gear 4 on the ground floor too, which I didn't have time to play, but I couldn't seem to locate the cardslot when I had a brief look at it...I hope it wasn't deliberately covered or locked out :/ have to go back and see properly. There's also a few SFIV cabinets and some classic games like 1942 in the basement. One of the KoFs too (but I don't follow them) plus a bunch of other stuff.
