Regarding the Sky Player, I've got Sky Sports downstairs and would consider signing up for £10 a month over Christmas so I could watch the football upstairs.

Can you sign up for 1 month at a time, or is there a minimum term contract? Also, do you pay up front for the month, or do they make you sign up permanently and say that it's cancel-able at any time in the hope that you forget?

You get 1 month free at the moment using the code XBOX1MONTHFREE.
Hopefully it will last to see you over xmas.

The sub is down to a fiver now.

For normal tv viewing it's ok but I don't think I could watch much sports stuff on it. My connection is more than fast enough to watch NFL games smoothly in near HD quality (using Gamepass HD) but watching football using Skyplayer is pretty nausea inducing....it really doesn't handle quick motion well at all

Its not being converted to 60Hz is it? Are you using a PAL 360?

Halo watpoint launches on thursday with a look at some halo legends footage, following on from that is a full screening of one of the shorts on Saturday, Halo Legends: The Babysitter, looks cool.

Have they announced a price for the Halo Legends episodes yet?

Really wasn't sure where to post this and I'm not sure if this has changed with the latest test update or if it was with the last full release.

There's one thing and only one thing that I really didn't like about the original Crackdown was that I wasn't able to install the game and the extra noise that meant when I was trying to play it.

Anyway, 6.1 GBs later and I'm a very happy man who's playing his favourite 360 game silently from his hard drive.

I've only had a quick mess around to see how it performs and I can see no obvious difference at the moment apart from lack of noise. I'm guessing one of the reasons that it's been done now is so it can be released via Games on Demand at some point?

Ok so I actually lolled at this :

                    Dear Preview Participants,

Wasn't sure where to post this but I guess this is probably the best place.

Anyone else go to the XboxSelectives Party in London tonight? Me and my mates who run our website got invited down and it was decent. They were just showing off the Twitter, Facebook, Zune and LastFM stuff but the main thing is that there was free booze.

Got to meet those two blokes off the Inside Xbox channel and just mingled in general. Walked away with some decent freebies too, two Xbox 360 chatpads and 4200 Microsoft Points. Not bad!

The update launches tomorrow doesn't it?

Yup, this was an event "celebrating" the launch even though half the people there didn't even know what an Xbox was!

Surprised to find this isn't an actual update as such but they're just the apps you download for each thing (bar Twatter). I was expecting an actual `update` update.

It was an actual "update" for me in the preview program!

I'm guessing that's why they have gone for the module approach than building it into the actual dash. It means size isn't an issue and when you need to update it must be a damn sight easier than a dash update to roll out. Also the dash can only be updated so many times due to the fuses that pop each time
