Amazing news for idiots like me who've been stuck with a US gamertag

You'll only be able to do it once every 12 months (same as the licence transfer) but I'm really happy they've got off their arse and sorted this out.

And in other news some site rumour via NeoGAF is that the friends list is going to be expanded with the new dash roll out- the report says it'll go up to 1000, which is absolutely crazy if it turns out to be true...

Only if they let you have folders or more controlled as to who is display near the top of the list.

1k Friends - come on, who really has that many! You'd have to invite everyone you ever played with on Live. I'd be concerned about increased listing times as well.

I only have about 60 people on my list, I hate having people that I never play any games with or ones that say OFFLINE FOR 34 DAYS

Yep. Seems pointless. And looking through them is a pain. TBH I could probably cull mine to 10, legitimate people who I regularly play with. Loads are Friends Of Friends who I may be game with once every 3 months.

I think I maxed out at 83 once and then trimmed a load of people off who were never online or dropped to Silver so there was no chance of me every playing online with them.

I always figured that if you cull someone and they really, really want to be on your list, they'll send you an invite again.

Be careful, I pissed off a LOT of people during one cull, lol. Got nasty!

I agree. Anything that could potentially slow the dash down even further is something I'd rather do without. Of course, I suppose I'd have to actually have more friends on there than I do now in order to slow it down, but I wouldn't put it past them.

I know it's probably never going to happen, but I'd love it if they had an option for a spangly dash or a cut-down dash. Just some more customisation that would speed things up for those of us who can navigate it blindfolded but also keep helpful animations and sparklies for granddad using Kinect to enter his WPA key.

I'm getting really sick of all these updates for the NNXE. They take ages and do nothing. And then they try to make me sit through a "how to use your xbox" thing. Can you be any more condescending? If I don't know how to use my 360 after nearly 5 years there's something sadly wrong.
