My guess is the characters are all but done and it's entirely intentional. If they stick to their guns about not doing a 'Super/Ultimate' version of the game they'll be using the full DLC model as an alternative. Especially if UMvC3 and Off the Record tanked as hard as they seemed to.

With Twisted delayed again I can see me picking this up, especially now the Vita version isn't out till Xmas.

I am still looking forward to this a lot, at the moment I'm only really interested in Juri as she's my SF4 main, but no idea who would work best as a partner.

I have faith in that new dpad.
Apparently sometime toward the end of the year... would have been a great companion to the full game

I don't think it will matter that much, mate. Just pick a secondary who counters your mains bad match-ups - of which no one knows until the game has been out for a couple of weeks. I know I have initial selections in mind but these will change.

If it's anything like SF4 Juri has a strong corner-pressure game, so you might want to pick a primary main that corners people fast. Then switch in your secondary (Juri) to maintain that pressure. This is what I'm doing when Dudley comes along, again, if it plays like SSF4.

One thing I've learned from watching the pros play, is that many games end with time outs as no one knows the high-end damaging stuff yet to get the job done. Grapplers do obscene damage in one move still, so maybe go with a grappler for some early leaderboard domination? Have a fireball main for footsies then go for the grapple tag when you have them in the corner.

A Vita version right now would sell that console to me.

It's great. Reminds me of CvS2. Just cleared the Kazuya trials but there doesn't seem like much in there that can be used in a real match. At least it has helped me memorise all the names of the moves as well as a few high damaging happy accidents. Hopefully I can go through the Zangief trials then work out some teamwork and cross cancel action before work tomorrow.

Read the EG review and thought, yep, I'll be buying it. I'll use my Gamestation ?29 towards it.

Watching some of the trails now... my hands are sweating... I love Tekken and I never feel like I've hit a wall in that game but I'm so **** at 2D fighters and always come to a point where I'm like okay this is as far as I can go (around trail 10 or so) and I give up. I want this game so bad but in a way I'm thinking just hold out for TxSF, I'm too **** for this anyway.

As you wish, but this game features simpler links as opposed to the previous SF games. I love both series' and wouldn't miss out on a collaboration as big as this!

Good question. It was on their website a few days ago, on the front page. I can`t find it anywhere on their site now...

I'm gonna show some true Tekken dedication and only complete (read attempt) the Tekken character trials... This games gonna make me feel real bad T_T

^ GAME and Gamestation won't be stocking this or Asuras Wrath.

I only struggled with the final trial for Kazuya. The inputs feel very Tekken as they are mostly chains (apart from the last one which requires 2x crouching MP into 1x crouching MK 2-frame links, then into some specials.)

I think I heard that the SF cast combos are mostly link based. I never got chance to try.

Gonna cheese out today's tourney with Kazuya main and the usual random beginner Ken spam as my secondary, or maybe Zangief if I can corner plenty with Kazuya. From some of the matches I watched last night there was a huge saturation of Rolento cheese, he seemed massively over-powered, like all the best bits from both Fei Long and Ibuki (strong mix-up/vortex, zero recovery).

Speed gems which activate on block for Zangief (and I'm guessing any turtler) are really nice.
