Thank god for this announcement, I had thought Ace Combat was dead forever after they started making it for mobile phones.

It's been over 5 years for me since the last game (as a non-360 owner), so I'm more than ready for this!

You did alright by missing out on the 360 game. Thought it was pants compared to the ps2 games. Looking forward to this one though.

I didn't like the 360 version either. It felt really slow and unresponsive compared to the PS2 games. Trailer looks nice there.

Great co-op missions in Ace Combat 6, just too few of them.

I liked it to, one thing they got spot on was making you feel like an ace pilot. Towards the end of the game enemy pilots cowered while allies cheered and rallied when you turned up on the scene.

the series is in deperate need for some fresh ideas and innovation. at least there seems to be a degree of enviromental destruction and more detailed explosions and the like. i also hope for a co-op campaign and fully customizable aircrafts including skins/paintjobs!

I'm a big fan, but the 360 game was cack. 30fps really did hurt it when compared to the Ps2 versions. Storyline was dire too, even for an AC. Only 15 or so stages, and a small selection of jets. Music was crap, outside of the intro.

I also honestly think AC6, the way its being developed, should've been Playstation only. The 360 pad Trigger + bumper setup just didn't cut it, and the non-pressure sensitive face buttons (for the radar) didn't either. Gameplay was crap, mostly due to the 360. The flight stick isn't an option for everyone.

The trailer of this looks nice, cool views. In all fairness the series did need an overhaul and this looks like it. Those QTE's and close-ups might turn out to be cool.

Kobayashi's back for the music, yeah.
