They had a preview event in Haneda today. Check out this post at SPOnG for all the details.

Cameos, game elements, PS3 bonuses, and more - Fans of the Valkyria Chronicles set of games will be pleased to hear that yesterday SEGA held a promotional event for the demo of its newest entry in the series...click for more

If you follow the Valkyria Chronicles 3 twitter link and use Google Chrome as your browser you can opt to translate the contents of the dedicated Twitter which has the Q & A from the preview event.

Will post some images later if I'm not too knackered tomorrow.

And just for kicks and to see the producer and director behind the game:

The one on the far left can cosplay privately for me anytime!

Box art looking super sexy and has a nice mood to it. There's a press conference due to be held on November 9th, the same day as the demo release on PSN. May be worth checking out for more game details.

Maybe its just me but the team certainly picked a couple of pretty ladies this time around as promotional models for the two main heroines in the game.

Thanks to Siliconera, details on the Japanese LE surface: stainless collapsible cup, telephone card, two mini posters and a booklet with some back story of the VC universe, The booklet is for both normal and limited versions as long the copy is reserved.

                          Imca introduction video.
Why do names progressively get weirder?

                            A bunch of new videos:

"supporting" characters introduction. Not only names get weirder, but charades too...a samurai really fits into the setting.

                            Old acquaintances...

And a preview of the upgrade system.

There seems to be new content on the Japanese PSN.

Is it related to the anime? I tried downloading it because it was free, and it's only available for a limited time (until Feb), but after cliking it wouldn't let me download it.

Do I need to set up a Japanese proxy? The PS3 apparently allows you to use a proxy as standard. If this is the case can some give some instructions on which is best to use? I'd really like to know what this mysterious content is!

Those are two OAVs, named "Senjo no Valkyria 3: Ta ga Tame no Juso". Probably a couple of fansub groups will pick them up and translate them, but after the VC1 anime series I don't hold any faith in any VC videogame-to-anime transition.
