I hope that cover art is just a placeholder, it's horrible. The GOW collection cover was just as bad though so I suppose it could easily be the final result.

I guess it's kind of hard to do a single cover to represent both games.

Hmm, two separate games at least in Japan.

EDIT: ^^ That might not be confirmed.

        What could THAT be about?

Has a Last Guardian demo with it?

Seems to make the most sense. I'm not sure I'd be interested in a demo personally, I wouldn't want to play it in any guise before full release.

Eh US version actually, was the JPN one not as bad or something?

Yeh that boxart is hideous, put some effort in and combine the two in a stylish way not just two boxarts stuck side by side.

I agree about the demo, as much as I'd want to play it I'd want to leave it until the full release and appreciate it fully.

This is brilliant news. I loved Ico's sense of isolation and wonder and the same goes for Shadow of the Colossus which was my most played PS2 game ever, I even

got up to the secret garden area, and a lot of the unlockable items

                .

This is a must buy/preorder for me, but I'll still hang on to my old cardboard versions of the game.

I am so happy about this. I didn't have a PS2 at the time of Shadow, so very excited to play that - I suspect I'd not of coped with the frame issues on the PS2 anyway. And I can't say enough wonderful things about Ico. When I "discovered" it, it came as a wonderful surprise and I've spent the subsequent years telling any PS2 owner I've known to get it. Alas few have, and alas even fewer have enjoyed it. But there you go.

So excited, which is strange for me about any game, let alone a remake....

I had a demo of shadow, and the frame rate killed it for me. (was about what, 15fps?) hopefully this will be 60fps and I will be a happy chappy I always just kinda felt Shadow was too ambitious for the PS2.

Sometimes I think I'm blessed to be able to play games with a poor framerate and still enjoy them for what they are.

3D as well when these hit (Spring 2011). I have to say the reasons to pick up a 3D TV are mounting.

It's official! At the Tokyo Game Show, Team Ico just announced that their PS2 classics Shadow of the Colossus and Ico are officially heading to the PS3 on one Blu-ray disc. Ico and Shadow of the Colossus: The Collection for the PS3 will sport full HD compatibility as well as support for 3D and Trophies. [...]

                        ^^ trailer as well.

Nice to see those old gems reprocessed for HD and 3D.

Considering both games were made on the PS2, and that they will be in 3D. Does that suggest that Team ICO could get the games running at 60fps when viewing it in 'ordinary 3D' mode? I would think they can, but they may opt for a more stable 30fps, which makes sense.

Assuming they're aiming for a stable 3D framerate I think that's a positive indication that the standard game might run at 60. *hopes*

I posted in the TGS thread thas this has been confirmed as solid 30fps in 3D.

I doubt they'll bump it to 60fps for non-3d though.

But if they're rendering two images at 30fps, is it really so much work to get the main game running at 60? Not that I'm complaining, I'm more than happy with a solid 30.
