I must have had better luck with my hardware in general. Two fat PS2s and both still work fine, my brother has a PS4, no worries, my 360 still works fine, and my Xbox One is still working perfectly. Only thing I managed to do was break a One pad (and got it replaced as it was within the 12 months warranty), but that's about it!

I've always been quite fortunate with consoles; I had two 360s for pretty much the machine's entire active life, and when I got rid of each, they still worked as well as the day I got them. Ditto for my PS3 which is a 2010 slim model and still going.
The only machine I've ever had problems with was the Dreamcast, though I should state, I never had problems with the original one I owned, bought new, back when the machine first came out. I also had it for years and it didn't discolour even slightly. I've had only had trouble with second-hand machines years later, and why are they always yellow? Wish I'd kept that one now. These days I don't know how I would go about buying a DC; they're just so unreliable. Polar opposite of the Saturn and Megadrive which seemed built like a brick ****house.
It's like the N64. I had my machine for years, and when I sold it, the pad was in great condition. Every used pad I've seen ever since ~1999 always has a knackered stick with worn off plastic about the gate. What the hell do people do with them?!Last edited by Asura; 26-11-2018, 08:24.

Out of everything I have ever owned, the only thing to die 100% have been XBox 360s. My original PS3 has had problems with its disc mechanic and sounds like an airplane and I have been sure for about 5 years that it will die but it just keeps on going.
Other than that, ever system I have ever owned still works.

The timing of internet sales.
I just went on Steam with the intention of buying something which yesterday was in the sale for half price, and today, it's full price.
Am I the only one who only buys stuff in sales? I can probably count on one... In fact on one finger (Half-Life 2 back in the early 2000s) the games in my library that were bought full price.
I was going to buy Fight'n'Rage, which looks pretty good: https://store.steampowered.com/app/674520/FightN_Rage/
But now I guess I'll have to wait until the Christmas sale and see if it's in that.
I hesitated because I was waiting until the end of the month (payday), and had just decided naw, screw it, it looks really good... Well **** that.
