The differences are not that great over the NTSC original, but I will concede on the fact that not many AAA mecha games make it into PAL territories (Armored Core 3 did however).

Is that Zeon thing Gundam? I just don't make enough effort to look for games in shops nowadays. As for your last point, as I think you're some kind of writer on GamesTM, I will respect your opinion. You are right about him not mentioning much of the gameplay. But look...pretty pictures...and washed-out anime with bad dubbing.
It is indeed the Gundam game (original released in the Japanese arcades). It isn't that great, a bit too ephemeral. As for my work on gamesTM, it isn't really relevant. The fact that the review over at Eurogamer covers very little of the actual gameplay is, however, very pertinent.

One last thing. What are the Armoured Core series like, compared to ZOE? And good is not an acceptable answer.
The three original PSX games are really rather impressive titles (especially the last, Master of Arena) but the PS2 incarnations have been rather hit and miss. In that, avoid Armored Core 2 and Armored Core 2 Another Age like the plague. They are very slow and particularly unbalanced titles. Armored Core 3 and the follow-up Armored Core 3 Silent Line are utterly superb games and practically define the genre.

      Noooooooooooooo

Having finished the game, they've swapped the intros. You have to watch the dodgy remix to get the good music. Gits.

Having worked for/in that environment, you should be more qualified than most to critically look at someone elses review.

I wouldn't necessarily agree. Many "professional" games journalists are clueless muppets.
