Nice, Jamie, let us know how it is.

I'm sure it will only get better with time too!

In same boat regarding switching from Iphone.

I'm not 'overly' bothered by PS1 emulation. I would like everything up to and including N64 (which already seems 100% possible on Android). I say this because although I've had a blast with my PSP PS1 emulation, I do find 3D games kind of difficult to play on a small handheld - espeically if I'm on the move or out and about. Maybe that's just me, but I think it is the reason that I think the NDS was a much bigger success than the PSP - the games were brighter and easier to see. I have very few PSP games, instead I use my PSP almost soley for emulation, and yet I play NDS games to death. Same with Iphone, the best games are the simplier ones. Saying that, the PS1 has some grade A titles suited to handhelds so I would still love to see it at full speed!

Ok, so not everyone will agree with that, just my opinion. But it is why I'm not excited about the NGP at all.

I deffo think this is my next handheld.

I assume that's the same as it costs on PSN. Not many games available at launch on that service, the device comes with Crash Bandicoot pre-installed (Siphon Filter in France) apparently too.

Haven't you heard about Nintendo's phone?

They're aiming for the lower-price end of the market, but I'd definitely get one of these bad boys!

I'm presuming the Famicon styling would be revised for the European market though.

Noticed this was out today, if the analysts report on CVG is accurate and the PS3 has just overtaken the 360 for worldwide sales then it's all round a pretty big day for Sony as they go into the new financial year.

I can't comment on anything specific, but I mean yes that's the aspiration. We definitely want to create marketing stories and reasons for people to want and come to buy the Xperia Play - so exclusives are on our agenda and our wishlist. Beyond just pure exclusives it is also about making sure developers are making something special. Look at [Xperia Play launch title] Galaxy on Fire 2, you know. The [studio] CEO is quoted as saying they specifically built a version for the Xperia Play and they believe it plays better on Xperia Play that anything else. So its as much about having a better experience on Xperia Play, certainly than other Android devices, it is a key part of what we're looking to offer.

Second Wave is currently exclusive to the Xperia Play, it launched first on Xperia Play it will roll out for Xbox and other platforms later and they've gone to development and said actually it's multiplayer, multiplatform so you can be in the same game playing over wi-fi on the Xperia Play playing with your friend at home on their Xbox, so very clever stuff.
Interesting, I'm still not particularly interested in the phone but the fact that there are options to play across different formats including the Xbox is really positive.
