Has the price settled down yet? It was selling for crazy money, pretty sure it was cheaper to buy the 3 originals than the trilogy at one point.

Speaking of Animal Crossing, how sad (yet great) is this?

I adored F Zero GX, Killer 7, Resident Evil 4 and Metroid Prime. They didn't all remain exclusives but they're still the best versions of the games.

The rest of Gamecube library I could take or leave. I didn't care for any of Mario or Zelda efforts and that generation marked the end of my interest in those series. Animal Crossing's popularity is a mystery to me, I was mashing the A button with utter boredom after about 5 minutes.

I always wondered about this, as my memory of AC GC is a bit hazy- wasn't that player getting letters and presents from the in-game "Mom" character you never see?

If two or more people were set up on the same village, you could send each other presents. Obviously only one person could be playing "their" village at a time...

Maybe we should have GameCube Day sometime.

What would that entail? I've been having a GameCube day for the last few days. :3

The Thousand Year Door was fan service of the highest order. It?s so good in fact it?s one of the few games (in my book at least) that is above any criticism. The twist to the special moves (I think I had my timing down for all the moves except the most powerful one) kept the turn based combat fun, and the rpg and platform elements were balanced in such a way to compliment each other perfectly. The platforming sections where you folded into different shapes were all extremely well thought out (the paper plane was especially fun) and the button placements across the maps made sure time spent exploring never went to waste - there was always a worthwhile badge hidden away somewhere.

Also, I don?t recall the dialogue ever being a chore to read; some of the comments, like the ones made by the monster hiding inside the chest, managed to put a smile on my face regardless of the mood I was in. ;p

It?s just a shame Nintendo dropped the ball with Super Paper Mario by making it less of an rpg. There?s enough quality platformers out there, why make one of your most critically acclaimed, unique series follow the crowd? a proper Paper Mario game is the only way I could justify rebuying a Wii - even if I have to suffer through the picture quality.
