      Thats easy math, then.

SR3 arcade runs on hardware thats superior to the consoles, I believe its GF8 generation or even higher. Which is why SR3 could maintain 60fps. So I'd wager we'll get SR3 arcade running on the 30fps engine of SR Revo. It would make sense as a digital download title.

We're better off with a perfect port of SR2, really. It was a succesful game too.

You're probably right, but console hardware isn't so far off from Europa-R specs that it can't be done or something. In fact they would barely have to scale the game down for it to run at 60fps. BTW it's an 8800. 360's ATI GPU I've heard is around the level of a 7900, and the 360 has a 3.2 tri core as opposed to Europa's 3.4 dual core. And I'm sure SR3 isn't stressing the limits of the hardware or anything, arcade games usually don't.

"SEGA’s arcade and console favourite will include a collection of new features, including the ability for gamers to race their friends online!"

          THANK GOD FOR THAT!

          If it's 60fps I'm so in there, even if it's not SR1/2.

Does anyone really believe that anything will run at 60fps nowadays?

My heart sank when I saw assphault . It still might be awesome though. Sometimes I think Sega make it so hard. I just personally want HD ports of classics like Sega Rally, Daytona, F355. It's seems there is more chance of winning the lottery.

Just imagine the First Sega Rally along with Sega racing classic (HD Daytona) if they both come to xbla this year it will be ture racing heaven. So long as sega don't f*** it up.

I've only played the demo of SR: Revo, but wasn't it good besides the fact it was so hard it was beyond fun?

It's a good game, it was just missing some key things that people have come to expect from SR games, most notably the arcade championship mode where you work your way up from last to first over multiple stages, recording your total time. It kind of lost it's focus as a time attack game since the single player was just a bunch of traditional lapped races, and time attack was just one track at a time and there were like 20 courses. It just lost the aspect of 'hey, what's your best time in Sega Rally?' being an answerable question.

It also ran at 30fps and had generic music, with maybe one sort of good track (it was one of the arctic ones). The behind the view camera was also way too loose, there's lots of turns where you literally couldn't see what's coming because you're looking at a side-view of your car. But honestly, it was a good game, it was just missing that Sega Rally soul. And yes there were some really stupid design decisions about the single player that made it way harder than it should have been.

Revo simply misses the in yo face Arcade feel and presentation. The menus, music, framerate is all very dry and clinical and does not feel as an SR should.

Its not an arcade game and it shows.

I'm not sure if SOL will be on here but it's been confirmed that Sumo are developing the game / handling the port.

Damn people haaaaaaaate Revo huh? rofl

Honestly in terms of base physics and engine I think Revo/3 comes 2nd to the original...actually somewhat better because the differences in surfaces are more pronounced than they were back then. The physics in SR2 and 2006 weren't much to write home about imo.

Word. Revo handled beautifully and the races were intense. The mud physics were really cool too.

Not expecting 60fps. I'd be happy with 30fps+motion blur as I just couldn't see anything when playing Revo despite trying it a few times. Shame, as it looks gorgeous. I know the original Saturn one is 30 but there's something about it that makes it feel less jerky. Maybe because it was just car, sky, ground, some rocks and the odd elephant now and then? Next time I see an SR3 machine I'll give it a go, though.

I love Sumo. I wonder if they'll fiddle with it at all? I don't think it needs to be fiddled with much, but imagine mini-games like they did with Outrun. Running over parrots mini-game, pleeease!

SR3 arcade has a better behindview camera. Its not as loose.

I suspect this view will be one of the changes thats going to make it into Online Arcade.
