Yes i did, its nothing like AC5, well seeing FROM made Chromehounds and the dev has openly said it's the successor. So they made Chromehounds they can make AC VC iin Chromehounds style.

Pre-ordered Armored Core V: Verdict Day for Xbox360, based on what's being said around the internet it will feature a large number of improvement over Armored Core V.

That remains to be seen but on the whole the fan based seem to believe Armored Core V was a major set back for the series and lacked a lot of the magic of Chrome Hounds. It was a uneasy mix of both games with some serious issues.

The V1.02 patch for Armored Core V addressed a lot of problems but arrived far to late to help the player based who had already moved on by that point. Indeed the current top EU team for all the regions has a banner that said R.I.P. Armored Core V: 2012 - 2013 which is all over the online map. It's a pretty damning statement to state of the game.

Armored Core V: Verdict Day is said to included the following improvement amongst others:
            1. AI Controlled Mechs. (So no more 5 vs 1 matches)
            2. Much larger and improved new Single Player
            3. Cross region EU & USA servers (Not 100% confirmed just yet, but fan communities are reporting it.)

It remains to be seen how much a improvement but I'll feedback once my copy arrives.

The Collector's Edition comes with a robot and art book. A ROBOT!

I don't really go from special editions, but I love the mech designs of the AC series, so a book of them would be lovely.

That's USA only I believe QC not seen any EU retailers offering it for sale, looks quite nice as well would love the mech.

Sadly however Namco are not very bright releasing it the week after GTA V and Fifa 14.

Achievement list is here if anyone is interested.

There are at least 7 Boss battles this time around and the Teams looks to be split across three fractions like Chome Hounds.

I enjoyed pArPing around with the wagon crew on the last game. Despite all the moaning you lot did about it

Still bugs me I couldn't kill the last boss with a kick to get the penultimate achievement too.

But I know I wont play this enough to justify buying it sadly.

                    Euro Gamer review is up:

It's more hardcore than eating a box of nails, but that hasn't stopped Armored Core showing up on our shores every year. Is Verdict Day one export too many?

Indeed my 360 version arrived in the post this morning, going to give it a whirl and see how it compares to V. I'll free lance for now unless we want a Drucken Master 2 team created??

Still need to get all the achievementon AC:V, I've done most of it on my own in single player just need a few last subobjectives and S ranks.

Had a quick go on the single player, seems much improved over the ACV From Software have gone back to the short story mission again with the game having 60 mission in total. You can also view the status of each mission this time around to see remaining objectives. Haven't tried online but the according to a number of reports on the net it isn't working at this point.

One thing I will point out is that when you start AC:VD you can transfer over your ACV emblems, mech and parts. This is a one time only event when you start for the first time. You can't carry over your outstanding gold so I advise you purchase all available weapons so you can use them in AC:VD, all emblems must be obtained before transfer.

I'll create a First Play once I've given this a good going over.

[Edit] Friday 6:24pm servers now up and running at last in the EU.

Very well from what I played over the past few days, it far more fun with a few mates. I've posted a full review in the first play thread now which gives a run down of all the new features in the game.

All the players I've spoken too seem to think this is a improvement over ACV.
