another MD fan here, i played the SNES version first, but playing a UK Championship Edition on full speed on a 60Hz switched MD was faster than the SNES, and the 6 button pad was faaaar superior :P

Snes version by miles. Sound, graphics everything.

Who cares if the MD versio had 10 speed stars, anything over 5 was just silly.

The SNES one had 10 speed stars too, you just had to enter a cheat to access anything above 5 stars .

            Down, R, Up, L, Y, B (X, A if you had the import)

SNES version was loads better though, you didn't have to buy new pads for it for a start... pressing start to change from punches to kicks? no thanks.

Not on my Jap copy it doesn't - that turns the special moves off!

I remember doing it for the PAL version of both World Warrior and Turbo, former giving CE suits, and the latter giving 10 stars.

Anyone else found that cheat turning the special moves off?

IMO the SNES versions were better, despite the 16:9-ish borders. The MD was let down in terms of sound, graphics and those horrid controllers. Valiant effort though, with a solid frame-rate.

Yep, in order to get the extra turbo stars, you need to enter the cheat from World Warrior on controller 2. Entering it on controller 1 turns fireballs/speciall moves off!
