The artwork on the Japanese site is gorgeous:

I'd totally buy a canvas print of it if I could. Ocarina of Time is my favourite game ever and I know I'm going to end up buying a 3DS for this, but I'm going to resist as long as possible.

Also, in a recent Iwata Asks, Miyamoto said there's lots of new stuff added to the 3DS version but they wouldn't go into specifics. So, it might not be as straight a port as it seems. Not that I think it needs anything added to it at all.

Well I don't know about anyone else but I can't remember last weekend let alone remember everything from a game I played 15 years ago. This will be like a new adventure for me

This just keeps looking better and better. As more images and previews continue to be released it seems clear, to me at least, that a lot of care and attention has been lavished on it. Really looking forward to it.

And on the subject of price, seriously, who buys games at ?40??

I set up my Cube on Thursday to start through Ocarina of Time again in prep for this. I know that the later dungeons are amazing pieces of level design but I still think that the opening dungeon inside the Great Deku Tree is one of my favourite game levels EVA!!!

I'm toying with the idea of buying my own 3DS rather than sticking with the one I got from work. The scratch on the screen means that the 3D is pretty much useless now.

Totally agree. The entire first section of the game up until you leave Kokiri Forest is the perfect tutorial. Just the way it teaches you everything you need to know naturally as you explore is genius. And it's all optional: when you start a new file, you can just skip the bits you know and go straight for the sword. I wish more games would be as subtle instead of pushing you through what amounts to a checklist of actions.

People who didnt go for a uk 3DS & have to import, sure been able to get the games cheaper is a bonus but you know nintendo is going to shaft you big time further down the line when that awesome game comes along & it ends up staying in japan because they just cant be arsed to release it, i don't mind paying that price for stuff thats new but for something i have played to death there better be something new to justify me paying the import price for it.

I know what you are sayingI haven't played it for a good while but with it being in 3d with improved graphics and framerate I'm more than happy to buy this again.Personally the biggest factor for me is that its portable, play one off the greatest game ever created anywhere

Cant you send it back to Nintendo and ask them to replace the screen? Probably a lot cheaper than buying a new one

You'll also get shafted that way too though, best to pick up two

And 30 times?? I played Link's Awakening to death but still haven't completed it more than 20 times.

The chances of something been western only is a lot slimmer than them keeping the best stuff in japan. Thats why i took my chances with a japanese one.

Hehe yeah i have literally played OOT to death over the years, theres no secrets left for me to find i literally found everything & all the fun quirky bugs & glitches too. Definately got my moneys worth but would love if they stuck all the n64DD stuff back in. Hell i'd settle for an extra dungeon with a new item in it, anything just to give me something extra to do.

Definitely buying a 3DS for OOT. Finished it a long time ago. Ready for another play through. Really looking forward to it.

Don't lose hope then! Iwata keeps teasing about extra content for the game and I wouldn't be surprised if we hear good things in the next few weeks..

Yeah I only played it through once on N64. If its revamped I will end up buying a 3DS for this as well

                              The two new additions revealed:

Super guide and a boss rush mode.

They're nice I suppose but I'm never going to use either of them. Never been a great fan of boss rush modes, with Zelda's "expose the weak spot" style encounters if could get a bit dull. Does show they're trying though.

SuperGuide is not a feature in my opinion. It is a crutch for the weak
