It's quite exciting but I know what you mean, it's weird to get excited for an old game. Still, it's not like Rayman 2 where it's been ported every generation, it's been quite a while since I last played OoT and judging by those screens the game has had a facelift, too!

Never played this before, just bits here n there years ago before I was a Zelda fan so those shots have got me really excited now!

Personally, I'm hoping that successful sales of OoT 3D will lead to a release of a 3DS version of Majora's Mask - the better N64 Zelda game, imo.

Looks good but i wish they had saved the remake for Wii 2 or whatever they call there upcoming new console as the 3ds version doesn't look enough of an improvement to warrant a purchase when you have bought, played & completed the original and Master Quest. Can you imagine how Amazing it could have been on Nintendo's new machine on a TV? They could even spend the time to add extra dungeons.

When i heard LTTP was being remade i got excited as i assumed that would be on the new Nintendo home console but when i heard that was also a 3ds game i felt a bit frustrated with Nintenedo as a full 3d remake of that on new powerful(ish) console hardware would have been an immediate system seller not that im saying it wont sell if made on the 3ds.

And like Nu Eclipse just mentioned above, I do hope that Majora's Mask gets a remake treatment along the lines of Ocarina as i missed out on that the first time around.

And Am i the only one that thinks that companies are choosing to make remakes, updates or open world RPG'S and games on weaker(ish) systems as it is cheaper and requires less time, energy & effort?

Creating for the 3DS must take a decent bit of effort but I do say that a small screen and the 3D novelty are what is helping it look so good, it does look a lot better than XBLA Perfect Dark though which to me still looked like an N64 game. Not sure it's long ago enough for me though, I only first played it on the gamecube collection disc and then got an original N64 cart a couple of years later.

Rumours that to avoid any more situations where overstocking is mistaken for poor sales Nintendo will be restricting numbers of Zelda copies

Bugger. I don't tend to preorder games these days since I do still love that feeling of walking out of a game store with a brand new game, but I suppose I better get my preorder down.

Just a shame Nintendo lacked that foresight when releasing the hardware! Seriously, who is giving them these ideas?

*whisper* *whisper* you want to make millions of 3DS consoles and charge ****loads of cash for them in a time when the world is suffering financially

*whisper* *whisper* you want to make only limited first run copies of one of the greatest ****ing games of all time and refuse to produce more for, oooh, let's say 6 months because absolutely no-one is going to buy it.

DOES NO-ONE SEE A PROBLEM HERE?????????????????????????

LOL thats crazy if they do that, theres sod all out & the one title that might fly off the shelves & they are limiting it, Oh nintendo

Well i'll do you all a favour, i'll not bother with a importing a copy on release that means someone can have my copy hehe. My money is going on Onepiece unlimited cruise SP & Bikkuriman kanjuku hao. I'll wait to see what more new stuff they have added to zelda before i sink full import price on it.

They need this game to be a console seller, it's going to be 3-4 months before they get a AAA Nintendo release out there. As much as I'm looking forward to SF, I don't think that'll move as many systems (especially as it doesn't seem to offer as much, all I've seen are a few re-done textures and a gyroscope mode that'll be horrible to play).

I'm amazed they haven't done a bundle for it in Japan but I guess the large amounts of stock on shelves and how early it is in the console's life counts against it.

The article says they're only doing this in Japan, so far at least so maybe it won't happen to us. If they do though, it'll mean it'll stay sought after and high in price and guarantee them no sale from me, I'm intrigued but not enough to pay full price for it.

Confirmation, if any was needed, that it'll have Master Quest available to play...

Yeah, but you don't get to play Master Quest unless you complete the original mode first. Makes me want it less, as Master Quest was the most appealing prospect of the game. And I won't play the entire game in the traditional mode to unlock Master Quest; by then I'll be tired of the entire game, mirrored or not.
