    - I assume you meant shouldn't? If so, not sure where you got that from, why shouldn't anyone voice their opinions? Im all for that, the more honest, the more brutal the better. If anything, i would hope people would be MORE HONEST, MORE BRUTAL knowing that some of the team work here in the hope their voices are more likely to be heard. A very strange comment TA.

I'm just think that there's many games on this board that come in for fierce criticise and there's none of this ... 'It's early code', 'developers are putting their heart and Soul into' it and so on . Why is it so different for Journey ?
I don't think members here have been OTT in their criticism of the game and it just seems people acting different, because some of the team happen to post on the Board . I'm sure if it was THQ, SEGA, Activision showing off the Journey there would have been wide spread criticism with no issues about how developers put their Heat and Soul into games, or it's only early code ECT,ECT.

The simple fact is people can on go what they saw and at this stage it doesn't look very good for The Journey - It looks like something that belongs on GameTrak (and didn't look much fun to play), rather than the quality one has come to expect from Lionhead even on visual level its very so so.... and stunning ART which have been Lionhead and Fable stong point imo lacking in the Journey

I was under the impression we were referring to other boards ?? - Have you seen the Lionhead forums? Haha, its awesome. Statments like 'burn in hell' are just some of the wonderfully insightful comments from fans ;-)

No one is saying people can't express their opinions mate.

          - and, to be blunt, it is quite clear many people aren't going by what they saw in the demo. Instead it is the 'on-rails' debate that takes center stage. But ultimately, no one is saying people can't express their opinions mate.
yes that is what I mean . Members issues with the game here have not bee totally OTT like that on the Lionhead boards. The game just looks basic and poor (at this stage) not because its on rials: which is a silly point as some of my Fav shooters and Gun games were all On-rails (i bet the same is true for a lot of other members) or because it's based in the Fable world, but because it looks poor and not much fun to play at the moment and looks to me the kind of game I expected to see on GameTrak on the PS2.

But games can improve and come good . I remember when GoldenEye was shown off for the 1st time in video form, and most in the press said it was a poor man Virtual Cop rip off . I think everyone called that game wrong, press and gamers alike

The game isn't even on rails.

I've had the weekend to chill out and I'm a lot cooler now. I never really actually have an issue with people disliking the stuff I work on, I've worked on the Black and White franchise so I'm well versed in getting a kicking. And games I worked on before my time at Lionhead were... far from fantastic as well.

It was just the sheer vitriol on both our forums, and on comment threads on most press articles I read. I've never seen the like before, for any game, and given where I am mentally at the moment (which is beyond what I'm comfortable talking about on any forum) it was a step too far. I think I've seen everything except outright death threats over the last few days, and I daren't check my PM inbox on the Lionhead forum. Heh.

I thought Black and White was utterly stunning to look at and play , so good one overlooked the flaws and bugs

That seems the standard response to any SONIC game (just look in the Sonic IV, Blackknight threads) , or anything from Activsion these days .

                    Indeed. Bless you TA :-)

Just to say I'm absolutely in love with Sonic at the moment, adore Colours and think Generations is going to be immense.

I think most of the Lionhead stuff is pretty fun even Black and White and Fable 2 as Andromeda says for the flaws and the bugs it was fun. I think releasing the demo on rails was a bad idea, to be it just seems an odd move. You would never change something that fundamental after releasing news at E3 so something doesn't add up. Either it is on rails and this is a reaction to the bad press or its been wheeled out too early before they where ready.

Either way Kinect, so I am out.

Not spent a lot of time with Lionhead games myself. I found Black and White to be rather poor after they hype and did't get in to Fable at all. I do have Fable 2 though and did rather like that. Still not put enough into it to make any real comment.
I think the main issue was over the hyping of Black and White and more specifically Fable. I was really looking forward to Fable and it didn't have half the stuff that was talked about as we know. I also remember magazine images being amazing for it but when I played it, it was rather muddy looking and it chugged along.

Generations IS great. New players can enjoy the "new" (sonic 4) version, and the rest of us can enjoy a PROPER old Sonic game, in this gen.

IGN gives demo impressions which worryingly (for IGN to be thinking it) they seem to be writing as though Fable: The Journey is Fable IV. Molyneux needs to explicitly state that it's not Fable IV to stop peoples confusion.

Xbox.com accidentally announced a 4th September release date for Fable: The Journey this morning.

September 4th US release date. Visually its looking pretty nice.

That looks quite a bit more current gen than the last games, significantly so.
