Alex, i am not arguing about the price (checked with amazon,de - it's 299/349) being completely unreasonable. it's just a bit too much considering we don't get what next-gen consoles will define: FHD graphics (natively) and enough RAM and horsepower to compete with current PC standards. the tablet style controller will offer some fresh gaming experiences, of course, but how long will this console be technically able to stand up against the Xbox 720 and PS4, which most likely will be priced very similar.

i pre-ordered from Amazon at the current price of ?299.00 with confidence that it will be changing as companies will try and undercut each other just like the 3DS before release, so I'm sure i wont be paying that much. Also pre-ordered as i dont want a repeat of shortages like the Xbox 360 and Wii did before. I have ?200 of Amazon vouchers i won from work anywayanyone gonna be importing a US one?

It's a shame that the WiiU won't up-res Wii games, but we know why that is, don't we? Because Nintendo want you go out and buy new WiiU software to show off your new console on an HD television.

I remember the days buying a launch console meant you were the envy of your mates and possessed state of the art graphics that made everyones jaw drop. So maybe we've moved on from being complete graphics whores but I sure do miss those moments like firing up SMW on the snes, RR on ps1, Turok on N64, powerstone on DC, TTT on Ps2 and Halo on Xbox were a few personal faves.
The Wii certainly didnt do that for me not do I see that happening for the Wii ULast edited by bash; 14-09-2012, 01:12.
