Don't think I'll buy one just yet. Even a new Shin'nen developed shooter isn't going to tempt me. Might get one for my niece and nephew though.

Hey it's only money you only live once , but my question is will black ops 2 be any better on the wii u so early in its life I'd get the 360 version will be better which would be a shame

Launch day titles Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, FIFA 13, Mass Effect 3 Special Edition, New Super Mario Bros, U Nintendo Land, Rayman Legends, ZombiU, Trine 2 Director's Cut, Toki Tori 2. Only ZombiU seems like a new game, the rest ports of games you can already buy probably at half the price, Epic Fail.

We all know Nintendo will hit next year when the next gen is out with big hitters like a new Zelda and Mario , so that's why I'm still getting one, and haven't bought a console to go under the Telly for years now so can't wait myself.

I'm not so sure of that tbh ... If there was a new Mario or Zelda game out next year we would have seen it by now, so you are looking at least two years from now before we see something like that. Look at whats happened with the 3DS, Kid Icarus took an absolute age to arrive, and other games have yet too materialise like Paper Mario and Luigi's Mansion. Lets not forget the 3DS is nearly two years old.. not good.

But then all JAP based consoles have this issue, its why I didn't buy a PS3 at launch because I knew itw would be sitting under my TV for the first year or so waiting for games.

Saying that it doesn't look like its too difficult to port current gen games to the console, having things like Fifa 13 for launch is pretty good as it wont have been out that long on thee other consoles.

But Ninty do need to get the first party and exclusive dev games sorted out pretty sharpish, because without them I really see no point in having one. Hopefully we will see some stuff at TGS but i'm not holding my breath, anything really, a new Fzero , WaveRace or Luigi / Mario game, just something that will at least show that's its being actively developed for, otherwise its 3DS all over again.

At the moment the ZombiU package seems to represent the best value considering you're getting the game and a Pro Controller for an extra ?40. Except I can't find it available for pre-order anywhere, and that's only if the price falls inline with the other packages.

I'm sort of sold on it from a games perspective, Lego City and Nintendo Land will sort the kids out nicely for Xmas, and it turns out that there is going to be a WiiU version of Skylanders Giants with added features. Awesome.

It all really comes down to the media features now. I'm not expecting Blu-ray playback, but I want to know if it can stream video from my NAS to essentially replace the WD TV Live box. And I'd like more information on TVii and the HDMI-CEC functionality.

Give it six months only games with "party" in the title will be released...

I do not agree mr bubbles you tell me where you will be ble to get FIFA 13 half price in November no chance it holds it value, and Rayman legends is new as well, so the launch is good plus back ops 2 won't be any cheaper on ps3 or 360 when wii u launches

Fifa 13 is not Fifa 13 like on the PS360. It is more of a title between 12 and 13 like Fifa was between 11-12 on Vita.

I phrased my post kind of wrong...its more that the master system was the first one I had and have owned virtually every one since. (inc a marty and pcfx )

It's called price fixing ... but considering its $350 for the Premium in the US it could have been worse.
